not gonna happen.
Bush will just use his executive power to squash any attempts.
Plus we’ve only got about a year left.

You didn’t put a vote for “All” politicians, so I couldn’t vote in good conscience. Bush and Cheney are just the biggest targets, but they’re really no different from the rest of the Washington sleaze brigade.
Well, if we impeach Bush, then Cheney is president.
No thank you.
Both, I don’t think that is even possible unless you have some sort of coup, which when I think about it, wouldn’t be that bad.
But again, I don’t think that is in the best interest considering our armed forces are over seas right now.
I vote just for Cheney.
What an arrogant bastard.
If it wasn’t for his heart attacks, I’d think he didn’t even have one.
is it possible for “we the people” to write up another Declaration of Independence from our own government?
i’m seriously asking that question by the way.
About 7 years too late with this question.
there’s still time!
seriously though
Hang em by their fucking BALLS!!
hang em by their fuckin GOOCH HAIRS!
damn. i just realized i’m too apathetic at this point to care enough to even impeach these assholes.
it’s like, the damage has been done and the damage, it would seem, is irreversable. what’s the point anymore?
Bush must have read this and then decided to pardon Libby last night. Boy is he laughing at all of us at the moment. I’m telling you, these guys just all think they’re insulated from any kind of repurcussions or accountability for being the slime suckers they are.
::puts on Volunteers by Jefferson Airplane because all he can do is dream about the revolution::
btw
What’s a GOOCH HAIR?
[color=black]
I believe that it is the hair located between the ball sack and anus.
Thanks, and did I really need to know that?
Probably not. But I was just answering your question.
It wasn’t a pardon, it was a commuted sentence. Libby still has to pay a fine, but has no jail time.
Yes, we could.
But we can’t even get 50% of Americans to frickin vote, let alone get over 80% of people to actually want to change things.
I don’t think we could get it done.
^not with that attitude.

come on folks, remember what Bill Pullman said (regarding tomorrow)
“Today is our Independence Day!” and all that inspiring stuff leading up to that.

There’s probably a local chapter of the SDS you could join if you can’t get enough OKPers.
fuck apathy. sign me up!
I just want to say one last thing before this thread fades away and dies; the message that would be sent by an impeachment would have a much larger impact than the actual effects of removing them from power.
America needs to begin repairing its image in the world, and we cannot do that when Bush/Cheney are still in power. We have to make it clear to the world that the actions of the president do not represent the will of the people.
It’s not just a message to the world, it’s also a message to future politicians. To allow Bush/Cheney to finish their term would set a horrible precedent and allow future leaders to be as big of fuckups as Bush/Cheney.
An impeachment would only be a start in repairing the damage, but it’s a start that has to be taken. The world will not survive another year of this fascism.
