they’re noobs, they’re not hard to pwn

That may be my nomination for post of the century on the OKP.

good point.

James Taylor is the guy who single handedly made singer/songwriters whiney, boring pussies for the mainstream world rather than the poetic, folky genii they used to be.
Christ, Joni Mitchell is more manly than him.

I love James Taylor, but that post is both hilarious and correct.

YEah, but Joni’s more man than a lot of guys…she’s also Pat Metheny’s biggest influence, just as a little trivial knowledge.

greg…why so bitter? did james leave you?

i for one enjoy an occasional JT tune at the right moment.

IF YOU CALL OUT MY NAME, AND YOU KNOW WHERE EVER I’VE BEEN… I’LL COME RUNNIN, JUST TO SEE YOU AGAIN DEE DEE DUM DUM DO DOO DOO…

Fuck the haters, I love James Taylor and I don’t care who knows it!!

Harsh Greg, harsh.

he’s not bitter, he’s G.R.E.G., but he has a point.

JT is definitely the McCartney of folk music, kind of singsongy “nice” stuff. Nothing too biting anywhere in his songbook. But that’s OK because who needs biting all the time, besides G.R.E.G., that is?

When I was a young man, I always loved A&W Root Beer. I swore that another root beer would never best it on my palate’s preference.
But then Barq’s Root Beer came into town on a dusky, damp October night…

Barq’s Has Bite.
Barq’s has me, too.

but [dare I say it] is your Barq’s worse than your bite?

waits for boos from the balcony.

Barq’s is awful. I really like root beer, and Barq’s is at the bottom of my list. Just add some caffeine…just because…for “bite.” Ridiculous. It tastes like Chapstick smells…which is shitty. Oh…back to the topic…James Taylor is cool.

ghost is right on about root beers. evern stewarts isn’t close to the genuine article. good root beers, birch beers and sasparillas are much less sweet but oh, so much more flavorful than the “commercial” brands.
