has anybody seen this guy with Phil?
if so, was he really any good?
Jackie Greene is awesome. He did that song Look Out Cleveland on The Endless Highway tribute to The Band that I picked up a couple weeks ago. Other than that I havent heard much of him but he does have a pretty good voice.
I haven’t seen him, but I heard most of the shows, and he is a great young musician. Youtube him, and particularly the songs Mexican Girl and So Hard to Find my Way. Good young songwriter too. He has huge potential IMO, and I’d love to hear the albums he does have out.
Yeah he rocks! But sometimes he sounds like Joan Osbourne.
Shore up “Gone Wanderin” killer addictive album. Down in the Valley Woe fuckin rocks! Cought 8 phil shows with “the Kid” and general consensus amoung big phil phans was he smoked Joan and Ryan Drunken Adams (although I will admit that the Ryan B_Day show @ the Noke was one of the tours best.)
I really like him as well, and I’m glad to hear that the die-hard Phil crowd is accepting of him. I really like his voice and I especially liked it on the acoustic tunes they would do for the second sets this tour. I hope to see/hear more of him in the future with Phil.
I haven’t heard any of his solo stuff, but I am interested to hear it.
His voice gets a little too “girly” for my liking…
but I like girls…
