Who is Adam Sandler? no. PT Barnum? no. Al Gore? forget it. j/k
Wait! Who is FDR!?
Who is the original Warren G. (Harding)?
At first I thought it was Harry Houdini, but he died around that time, so it probably wasn’t him.
Maybe FDR, he was just starting to get noticed. Then again so was Churchill and Hitler. I’ll take a guess on Winston.
All but one of the names mentioned by gp, swartzbaugh and fony are incorrect.
So it’s either FDR or Adolf.
I’m going with Hitler because of the use of the term “great masses”.
I was trying to think who was president at that time and FDR is who I came up with but its a little early for him me thinks so I think weekabaughswartz’s answer is the one.
It is indeed Hitler.
Interesting. Knowing this he used that knowledge to do terrible things. Wow.
In Terry Goodkind’s Sword of Truth series he lays down a set of “Wizard’s Rules” which reflect objectivist philosophy… the first of which is “People are stupid, the masses will believe a lie because they are told its true or fear its true.” Something like that, can’t remember the exact wording but you get the idea.
