thinking about adding this and the 2 MPP shows instead of ATL. any seat a good seat here, or do i want to avoid a specifc area. thanks for any advice

^Depends on the wind. Up high has a great view, but the wind can effect the sound. I like stadium 1 to get the best of both worlds. You can see the band, see the water and hear the music well. Let’s meet up for a brew in the lot (bring your solo cup). :sunglasses:

This is from the bottom of the Mez. The next lower rail is stadium 1 (which I think is a sweet spot). If you get too close you lose the view.

Although I don’t generally make the 2.5 hour trip to Jones Beach, I have a ticket for this show. Maybe I can bum a ride from Dan and his dad if they plan to attend and have room in their vehicle.

Or you can drive up with me, if you don’t mind leaving around 11am. I get uber paranoid about driving to JB as well. It can take anywhere from 90mins to 3hrs+, depending on the departure time. The show being on a Friday in the middle of Summer, makes me more paranoid.

11am is still, in my experience, the Golden Hour to leave for shows w/o getting stuck in traffic.

^Dont piss in the parking lot, use a solo cup, and don’t be stupid…It not really that hard. Jones Beach is more concerned with food vending. Dept of Health always seem to be there to shut down the food. Food after the show was being slung on the dl. Buying that pizza last year was mad shady. :shh: Hit the ocean beach up before the show (not the dirty bay next to the venue) across the highway (use the tunnels). There are showers there to wash the sand off before the show. It is a dry venue…so crotch a few airplane bottles in and buy a soda. :wink: I saw my first Phish show here back in '92 and I have a love/hate relationship with it. If you know how to do it right, Jones Beach is a lot of fun. I also come from the East on the Ocean parkway and hit NO TRAFFIC, but you guys coming from the west are kinda fucked with traffic.

Thanks Pei-Yi. I met up with Dan and Dave Fitzgerald at the Project Object concert at the Stone Pony two weeks ago and they offered me a ride to JB as well. I’ll probably take them up on it since they have to go right by my exit on the GSP.

We will definitely need to meet up for this show.

Have lawn for PNC and so do Dan and Dave, so there will probably be an OKP section there as well.

Thanks to an awesome gesture by a great friend, I will be at the show as long as I can get Friday afternoon off to drive there! I won’s sign 'til that’s official, but I’m wicked excited to see all y’all :thumbup: :wave:
