Sounds legit…still, it begs the question, why’d you buy a Mac?
Because they own, GR, that’s why.
I don’t have a key, but if you check out any torrent sites like piratebay, or btjunkie, just go through the torrents and you’ll find a legit one. Just make sure to read the comments before downloading, and make sure the key is in the files you download.
MAC’s = the greatness…
No virus issues, minimal break downs, etc… Owned two for 8 years now, the bomb!
I’ve got on old Powerbook G4 and it’s still (knock on wood) still going strong after all these years. I think it was manufactured in 2003 or 2004, and it’s still working as if I bought it yesterday. Fast, reliable, no crashing, no problems. Could not be happier.
Oh, and I bought it used for VERY cheap on eBay!
^I think you let us all now on here when you were looking right? Was that you?
Possibly…
I usually make a thread when I’m looking to purchase something major to get some info on the product.
For the record…
macs are awesome.
NOT better than PCs…they both have their pros and cons
Thanks Buster.
Yeah, this machine rules. I bought it because I have been on PC’s for years, but I do web design and the life of a PC for me is about 1.5-2 years max, so I feel that it is a better investment. Plus mac have much better graphic processing abilities…it’s staggering.
1.5 to 2 years? what are you doing to your PCs?
loading them up with a ton of files and hammering on them for 10-12 hours a day. I back everything up on an external drive and dump stuff periodically, but still I think I’ve had 1 machine that lasted more than 2 years and that was like 26 months or something.
hmm…my last pentium 4 machine lasted 5 yrs. I am a programmer and you said you did web design right? I guess we’re doing similar stuff to them. It’s also worth mentioning that I built that one though. My newest one is on Vista now and I built it too…we’ll see how long it lasts
^Yeah, you guys are a different animal though. I’m sure If I took them apart I could keep them running, but I don’t trust myself that much :-). Programming is beyond me, my skillset pretty much ends when you close your browser.
I love macs, I just hate how PCs are that much more customizable.
got my HP stacked with 5 Gbs RAM and one internal HD with 320 GB and two externals, one a TB for home use/storage/backup and one a 160 GB for traveling
I’m not that much against Vista, in fact I like it more than XP, but the adapting when new OSes come around is such a bitch… especially with Microsoft, but thats technology for ya… congrats on the new macbook
Hey what is everyones thoughts on external HD’s, I am in the market and they’re flooding every store right now. I run a MAC and want some travel/backup capabilities!
If you ask me, they are all pretty good as long as you are not putting corrupted files on them, and the prices have gone down considerably recently. I guess it really comes down to how much storage space you need.
Also, thanks again Buster, just got office 2008 installed.
You have 5 Gb of RAM? I hope you’re running 64 bit chip, mobo, and OS…or else you only have 4 gigs of RAM…lol
^^Oh yeah, we’re not that different of an animal dude. I love love love to write ASP.NET with AJAX! yum!
Let me guess…you are a PHP mysql kind of guy?
Wow, damn nice to see some new folks around here that are also into computers, and know what they’re talking about!
I agree on the statement that macs are NOT better than PCs, just DIFFERENT. I own a PC as well and use it just as often as my mac. Each one has their pros and cons, just depends on what you’re using it for. Just like a car, SUV, station wagon, pick-up truck, two door, four door…
^YES
I am a believer in Western Digital or SeaGate.
Have had a 160GB SeaGate for about 3 years now, never had a problem.
Western Digital MyBook 1TB have had a bit over a year I think, not a problem.
