Langerado 2009 moving once again.

[i]Langerado is moving to the magic city! Join us Friday March 6, Saturday March 7 and Sunday March 8 at Bicentennial Park, nestled alongside Biscayne Bay in the heart of downtown Miami. The 7th annual Langerado will feature 3 full days of live music on multiple stages spread throughout Bicentennial Park

that sucks. They really were pretty terrible at pulling off the camping festival though. They were always running out of ice, showers were $10, they did not provide you with a map or schedule as you entered, so many people walked around quite confused until they found the general store where you could pick up a map. There were a lot of things they did wrong last year, but at the same time, I’m not paying $200 a night for a Miami Hotel room and paying for late night shows. On top of everything though, we spent a bit of time in Miami last year after the festival and I hated it. It is the most superficial city I’ve ever been to, and I just remember getting funny looks walking down the street in a tie-dye and shorts. WTF? It’s definately not something that is going to appeal to me at all this year, which is unfortunate, because it’s really nice to be able to take off to Florida for a good festival in the middle of winter.

You’re totally right about it going the way of Lolla, Coachella, and Bonnaroo…I’ll bet you anything Kanye is there this year. Last year it showed signs of it, but it still had amazing acts like STS9, Phil, Umphs, Bisco, Mule, MSMW, Claypool, and so many more. I have a feeling this is going to be a terrible year for festivals in general, but with a Dead Spring/Summer tour on the horizon, and the other thing that I won’t even mention…I could care a less.

i live in Miami and know first hand that Bicentennial park is the WORST location for Langerado.

I loved Langerado at Big Cypress and hoping it was gonna return there. It was one of the best festivals I’ve attended. The location was beautiful and the lineup rocked! The only thing that sucked was not enough portopotty areas. Guess I’m gonna kiss Langerado goodbye, but maybe I’ll hit up Rothbury next year instead. and there is always mini-moe.tour!

So many of the festivals seem to be trying to appeal more to the masses than the grassroots fans it started out for. Sad sad days. The good vibes of the 90’s from GD and Phish are almost completely gone.

I wonder what else could possibly be going on at Big Cypress in March?

Good vibes, 90’s, and GD?

i wouldn’t be surprised if the dead kicked off their spring tour @ langerado. i would definately like to do this but i’m holding out for phish 2009. itz gunna happin.

bull shit

they finally moved it to the right place in Big Cypress and then moved it to the WORST place yet.

fuck this festival.
