LANGERADO CANCELLED!

Feb 3, 2009

The 2009 Langerado Music Festival has been cancelled due to sluggish ticket sales.

Langerado’s independent local promoters, faced with a very tough decision in a dismal economy, cancelled the 2009 event only after every possible option was exhausted.

As Langerado Co-Promoter Ethan Schwartz explains, “Langerado has always put the fan experience first. Unfortunately, during these difficult economic times, and facing a first year in a new venue, it’s become apparent that we cannot execute a production that lives up to the high standards of our past events. Putting Langerado on hold was the toughest decision we have ever had to make. We are very grateful for the support of the greater-Miami community and the music community during this difficult time.”

All tickets purchased will be refunded. Please look for ticket refunds to be processed in the next 5-7 business days. Each order will be refunded to the credit card in full, minus the included order processing fees. Shipping fees will also be credited for those orders that did not select the free shipping promotion. For information on ticket refunds please contact Music Today www.musictoday.com

They are probably not too happy Phish is back for a Spring time run.

yikes.

They totally screwed up the lineup this year. I find it funny how they blame it on the current economic state. We’ll see how much Bonnaroo is affected by this recession. Seriously, who the hell wants to go to a festival in Miami?

damn burn…

but GR is dead on, they completely ruined themselves with the lineup and location this year… what kind of festie could they have pulled off in Miami?

that’s what they get for ruining it.

to me, this was going to be Langerado’s best year.

then again, i am NOT a music festival fan.

stupid festival

Sorry you had such a bad time when you went Hank ::slight_smile:

I was disappointed that it wasn’t gonna be back at Big Cypress. That was my favorite festival last year!!! I was hoping they would have it there again, and I don’t know why they passed it up. I hope Phish returns to Cypress

Them moving it into Miami seemed like a bad idea from the beginning…

Yeah many factors played a part in the cancellation this year. Phish returning no doubt stole a bunch of ticket buyers. The location in downtown Miami just doesn’t seem right. Also the location forces attendees to pay for hotel rooms and cab rides amongst other things rather than camping and walking all weekend. Terrible call by the promoters.
