I’ll have to say “Glide”. It was fun when it first came out, the point was made, now it just sounds old.
guelah papyrus…that song makes me ill sometimes
I enjoy a nice glide from time to time. It makes me glad glad glad that I’m alive.
The thing about Glide is that Fish is playing 3/8 with his left foot, 5/8 with one hand and 7/8 with the other. I wrote the whole thing out (it’s like 35 bars long) and even with sheet music in front of me I couldn’t play it.
Guelah papyrus pretty much takes the cake for my least favorite.
“llama.” live versions are usually great, but this album version doesn’t really do a whole lot for me. sorry if that seems odd or disturbing.
conversely, i like “guelah papyrus.”
guelah papyrus - live phish vol. 7 - i can’t get enough of it…actually that entire first set is unbelievible.
dude…
the whole album is fucking incredible…
listen to it the whole way through…no skipping tracks…its the SHIT!!!
faht
there are no least favorites, if we actually go to a show all of them would be #1…
lets go!!
I guess Faht or Magilla…but they tie the album together so nicely…the album only works as a whole because of every one of those songs…
dude, my opinion is the exact oposite, i love the album version, but live it always seems to be a little lacking in energy
paranoid check out the out the 7-25-92 stowe, vt show with santana and karl perazzo. absolutely sick. i love llama anyway though. but the eliza doesn’t really do it for me, though it’s a great intro for cavern… but the whole album is great.
is it me of does trey consistently flub the first line every time they play llama live. it always seems like he’s laggin behind with the “sunrise over the turquoise mountains, messenger birds…”
as for p.o.n. - on the whole i feel like they took a bunch of their songs and randomly threw them on the album. don’t get me wrong i dig the songs individually but the album just has no flow for me.
^ On Trey’s “somewhat” half of the story of ‘Cavern’… usually it is during the “repeating lyrics”, and if your focusing on playing, repeating rediculous lyrics like that is pretty difficult at times I would guess… Maybe I am crazy though.
i love guelah papyrus, i’m kind of surprised to hear that as some people’s least favorite.
Faht probably
Great album, but I have the hardest time listening to Faht the whole way through.
I love Tweezer live but I’m not a big fan of it on the album. Probably my least favorite on the album.
I love Treys guitar work on this album, and for him i think it has some of his best guitar work of all time within it. TWEEZER, CHALKDUST, as well as STASH, The Landlady just legendary shit.
I like it all, least fav would go to faht though.
I do love the jazziness of this record, practice, practice, practice, is all they were doing at this point in time and it shows.
