“Sand”.
This is great on Trey’s solo shows, but with Phish it always turned into long drawn out notes for minutes at a time it seemed for Trey. Plus his little keyboard I was never really fond of.
Heavy things. Never liked this song from the begining and hated hearing it live.
First Tube, for some reason has never done anything for me.
Sand…what a crappy song. I love every other song on the albums, but sand sucks.
Bug. I always skipped over it. Weird because when I heard it on Live Phish Radio I loved it. Something about the album version feels off to me, in the way that early versions of ‘Twist’ don’t feel right.
Yikes! and the winner of the least Favorite award goes to - Heavy Things. One it is boring, it doesn’t progress. Two it was over played on WXRT. I love hearing Phish on the radio, but not that song that often. Three it is the only phish song some of my friends like so it is the only one they will let me listen to while driving with them.
slower live twists. im not too sure about that. all the live twists i have heard have absolutely rocked. even at coventry trey botched the composed section of the song but then led the band into a great 12 or so minute jam. you should check them out again.
certainly farmhouse. what a mediocre song. it doesn’t have any drive at all.

Sand has some interesting live versions under it’s belt. They can really get spacey with it, which is why I suppose I love it. This is a song where Mike can really stand out.
The Inlaw Josie Wales. It just takes to many weird twists… trey’s guitar goes everywhere, and not in a good way.

I heard it on a pop radio station right after the album was released. Maybe they thought it was Dave Matthews??
This album has the most awful version of Piper ever!
Heavy Things with Farmhouse a fairly close second. Just doesn’t do it for me. Should’ve scrapped at least Heavy Things and replace it with Driver and Mist, far better, deeper songs
The Piper is great! Short, crisp, and to the point… and it goes somewhere! But, I wonder if it was recorded live. It almost sounds like it, with the faint hits of cheering in the beginning. Plus, the sone had been in their reportoire for quite awhile before farmhouse.

Heavy things and Jiboo are two of my least favorite phish songs ever.
Bug is the only track on the album I don’t like. Has nothing to do with what happens to it live or anything like that. I just don’t care for the song itself. I think it’s musically bland, and lyrically lame. That’s my opinion of course, and sometimes opinions deserve the tomatoes they get. So, ducking now.
was the slow AC/DC from 12-30-97?? it opened the 2nd set, slow and drippin’ with the funk!!!
