And I felt crazy when i saw the words “Van Halen” on the marquee of the Rose Garden Arena recently.

But Zep? Damn. Whether they played well or not, i bet the energy in the crowd seeing 3 out of the 4 on stage playing those classic songs after all these years of anticipation was unmatched and you know you all wanted to be there.

my first reaction would have to be “meh,” but who knows maybe if I listened to it I’d be impressed

It just seems to me that Zeppelin’s music has held up so well over time (and its been SUCH a long time since they’ve played), and there really isn’t any reason to be doing this but money…I wonder what John Bonham’s son sounds like, though.

^He’s supposedly better than his dad. Which only makes sense since the kid was basically born with drumsticks thrust upon him and the greatest drummer alive as a dad.

My opinion, I have to live with it.

I think it’s great that they played a concert, and that set list looks great to me. I hope we get to hear it. I also hope that if they plan a tour, that it follows some writing and recording first.

The initial reviews are pretty positive.
I guess they played really good for being away for so long.

And a live concert debut which is pretty interesting.

I have to admit, I’d go see them in a heartbeat if they toured.
I just couldn’t pass up the opportunity to see these guys.
Hopefully my older cousins who introduced me to Zep would buy me a ticket. :slight_smile:

On slow days I tend to re-read posts a few times, if for no other reason than I think it’s a new post until I get to it, and then realize I just read it 15 minutes earlier.

So for the last few hours I’ve been silently in thorough agreement with this post I quoted from roggae up there.

Then I thought, no:

Pink Floyd reuniting > Led Zep reuniting > Van Halen reuniting > The Police reuniting > Phish reuniting

… because Phish is the lamest reunion of all so far, in that it’s nonexistent. Nonexistent reunions are the pits.

the police tho was a real reunion

and for when phish does come back it will be better than all those others listed
