I looked for the last thread about Zeppelin reuniting, but couldn’t find it. Well, it’s official. I’ve been hearing this rumour since I was in 9th grade (2001). I never thought it would actually happen.
From jambase.com:
The rumors have been confirmed, Led Zeppelin will reunite, but for only one show. The rock & roll super-legends will play a one-off gig at London’s 22,000-capacity O2 Arena on November 26 as part of a tribute to Atlantic Records co-founder Ahmet Ertegun, who died last December. Led Zeppelin recorded for Atlantic its entire career.
Joining the three surviving members: Robert Plant, Jimmy Page and John Paul Jones will be drummer Jason Bonham, son of the band’s original drummer John Bonham, who died from a heart attack in 1980.
Also performing at the event will be The Who’s Pete Townshend, former Rolling Stone Bill Wyman, Foreigner and Paolo Nutini. Profits will benefit the Ahmet Ertegun Education Fund, which provides scholarships to universities in the United States, United Kingdom and Ertegun’s homeland, Turkey.
