I think of it as more of a brandy, and I don’t like it.
Jack is where its at, although I haven’t had much Wild Turkey or Maker’s Mark. Maker’s Mark has the coolest bottle, thats fo sho.

But at this point i try to avoid drinking whiskey in civilized environments. I really only allow myself to drink whiskey when i’m camping and in a good mood.
whiskey in the Tennessee hills or on the Suwannee river = good times.
whiskey in Ft Lauderdale with friends = morning after filled with apologies and trying to get whatever girls i was around to start talking to me again. Not that fun.

I’m a scotch man myself and don’t see any of that represented. I prefer a good scotch, but you can’t drink as much as I do AND drink good scotch…I would be living on the streets drinking out of a paper bag. Laughs at the thought of the wino with a really good bottle of scotch all the time. Anyway, for sipping cheaper whiskey, I’ll take a Ballantines, Blackbarrel or, if it’s on sale, Johnny Walker Red Lable.
For American Whiskey I’ll take Jack though.
I put SoCo just because I’ve been known to tear up many a SoCo and lime shots on a really “active” night. I ALWAYS regret it come 3AM or so, but damn if it doesn’t sound like a good idea when someone says " you wanna shot?"
hahaha… so much for getting wiser with age and learning from your mistakes. If that were true, I’m sure all of us who have rested our head on the cool porcelain of the side of the tub while vowing to never drink again, would have quit a longtime ago.

Of those listed, I used to be a hardcore JD man. But tastes tend to change with time, and I’ve had my fun with scotch for a while as well. I’m currently in a vodka stage, and have been for the past several years.
