have you ever spent a whole show focusing most attention on just one member of the band? Earlier I was wondering what that must be like.
Not while I’m at a show, but while listening to recordings; sure. Sometimes while I’m at a show though I find myself more focused on what Fishman is doing than the other members. Maybe it’s just because I’m almost always Fish side, but regardless, what makes Phish special is how it all fits together and those moments when it all sync’s up is really all I live for.

I didn’t start really paying attention to Fishman until like, a couple years in. 
I was so busy being wowed by Mike and Trey that I must have had blinders on, … couldn’t see Fish or Page in the peripheral!
If someone does already have my username, I dont think Ive ever seen hin post. Therefore it’s okay imo. 
uh, I think they were refering to the picture of gordon that appears above your handle, it’s already used by someone else- very unoriginal dude. And as a bass player I will sometimes concentrate on mike’s playing

Me had an out of body pub run once where me be down on the floor front of stage. Back in the tix by mail days. I spent the whole evening staring and listening to Mr. Gordon’s chompers. It was quite surreal. He plays that evil stick like a piano. At least I thought so…
In recent years, I have taken to focusing on one member as a way to get a fresh take on songs I’m not as enthused about. Don’t think I would have the ability to attend to that task throughout the entire show though.
