I just downloaded the 11/14/95 video last night and the quality is awesome. My bro is gonna get me a birthday present and I thought I’d get another Live Phish Video. How is the quality of 12/31/95 and 12/29/97 compared to 11/14/95? I am leaning toward getting 12/31/95 cause that’d be awesome to have on video, but I wanna make sure the quality is good. Thanks.
The quality is about the same. They were all done with the same camera.

Ya I knew it was the same guy, just wanted to make sure there were some nice closeups in all the videos. I would imagine they recorded quite a few videos, possibly even the majority of the shows starting from a certain point. Since it’s only one camera, I doubt it cost that much to record.
they used the cam at the board from fall '95 on. plus i’m pretty sure all the footage shot for the screens at amphitheatres was archived. out of all the festivals, the wheel and oswego were the only ones without screens.

I’ve downloaded Runaway Jim from NYE '95 and Fluffhead from 12-29-97. The '95 quality is probably the same as from 11-14-95, but I can’t say for sure. The '97 tops the NYE '95 though, probably b/c in '97 they used two cameras instead of one. The quality also seems a bit better for '97, and I’d guess that that is from improved technology.

they always used the same camera, i just think eric finally figured out how to use it by '97. he was the bands massage therapist and chiropractor, not a professional camera man by any means.

My fault, I swear I heard somewhere that he had two, and some of the shots looked like they were definately from switching to a different camera.
