Login problem! Any help?

So I’ve been having a problem from my home computer.
Any help would be great, since I have pics and stuff I’ve been wanting to post but can’t. Here goes:

When I’m at home, I come to this site, go to the login page, put my ID and password in.
When I press the button to proceed, the page refreshes but it doesn’t go to my chosen skin, post, read personal messages, anything to do with my account.

The kicker is though, my name comes up on the little part on the bottom of the home page that says I’m logged in?
WTF?
At work, I can get in, hence me posting right now.
This only happens at my home computer and only since 2 days ago? Is this a virus or something?
A security setting that I can change on my Internet security.

Any help from you mods or computer techs out there would be appreciated. I need my ohkeepa from home.
That and I want to post my pictures.

Thanks all.

at home do u use firefox or ie?

do you utilize the modern software that detects and rids your computer of viruses, trojan horses, data miners?

could be a couple of problems but i need more info on the above mentioned questions

Well, the truth is…

We were talking, and we like your posting from work much more.

Your home account has been banned.

Thanks for playing!

But in all seriousness, your work account has now been banned too.

Enjoy PT!

But for real, I don’t know.

I use IE.

I do have a virus/spyware, but it’s never been a problem before.
Although, I did mess around with it a little while ago.
Could that be it? What should I look at if you think that’s the problem.

Thanks Sloth.

hmmm… well first may i recommend not only to you but to everyone in the world…

use Mozilla Firefox, it is the shit when it comes to internet surfing… but back to your problem

What spyware program do you use… although i doubt that it is the problem, knowing more about it wouldnt hurt…

But if you did mess around with it, or anything about your computer, especially your firewall, that could be the source of the problem…

so whatd u do to it… I’m sorry i can’t be more exact with an answer but im sure it will resolve soon

^Thanks for all this. Really.

I use Trend Micro PC-cillin Internet Security 2007.

I really only messed around with the virus protection part, but I might have changed other stuff due to it being a security bundle.

I’ve been thinking about changing to Mozilla Firefox.
Is it really is that much better? What are the perks of it compared to IE?

Could it be a cookie problem? Or maybe something to do with a popup blocker or that ActiveX thing?

Thanks again Sloth.

No help from moderators?

yeah try installing firefox and loggin in, firefox just has better protection for pop-ups and restricts all the shit you don’t want on your computer. If your all firewalled up and shit, IE isn’t horrible, but many people don’t use firewall’s or have any clue about anything technical on the computer, IE has many weak spots and more advanced people know how to get their advertisements to bombard you, spyware is teh biggest problem on the net these days, viruses aren’t even that bad anymore, but if you have a bad spyware problem it can often times be worse than a virus

i really have no idea why your having problems logging in, im at my work machine now, but when i get home i have no problem loggin in. Here at work i use IE since we have an insane firewall setup, but at home i use firefox for the added protection

I don’t have a clue, and there’s nothing I can do about it.

take the hues advice and go with Firefox… better pop up protection… better system for passwords… easier ways to download things… better cookie setup

but your problem could be in the cookies too… make sure you have cookies on

if you still are having trouble post again

delete yer temporary internet files.

try to login again.

i have no idea but that worked for me before.

I don’t use IE and I don’t do any of that bullshit, and my computer runs like it’s brand new (except it’s not brand new)

firefox solves all my problems, but this login thing is weird…

wack, i just use safari, the mac browser, and it works fine

Game, I’m not exactly sure why this is happening to you BUT whenever something like this has happened in the past, I have just told the person to check their cookie settings and list of allowed sites in Internet Explorer. If http://ohkeepa.proboards36.com is allowed by your browser, log in problems should become a thing of the past. Let us know how it goes!

umm, exactly what he said. My whole internet was down AGAIN this morning at home, so I don’t know if it’s still doing it, but posting from work has been no problem. Stupid interweb
