- famusmockingbird is going to arrange the logistics of the “cactus outreach program”.
- famus will provide a specific message that okp’ers should leave on mike’s hotline and the time period in which to attempt calls.
- the message will provide mike with contact info and some general instructions
- mike asked that we contact him nine weeks after his initial message. with that in mind, the campaign should take place shortly after march 28th.

after mike has set up a gameknot account, and successfully responded to our challenge, okp moves will be decided by a series of polls

polls will need to be created, posted, and locked in a timely fashion; a committe will be formed to manage the logistics of this process.

the committee (composed of 3-4 members; including at least one goderator) will be hand-picked and led by the okp tournament winner (the poll chairman)

the poll chairman will have ultimate say on the content of the polls and the organization of the committee

the poll chairman will be able to voice opinions on strategy/moves within the threads, but will not be allowed to vote on moves (*see tie-breaker rule below)

polls will consist of 4-6 moves (when possible) that offer diverse strategic options

gameplay will be set at 7 days per move to avoid any possible forfiets by mike or the okp

polls will be posted within 24 hours of mike’s move

polls will close after 72 hours of voting, or when 20 (+) votes have been cast.

if 72 hours expires with a tie vote, the poll chairman will cast the deciding vote before the poll is locked.

dead polls will remain available for viewing throughout the tournament

big man cleet will create a sub-folder specifically for the cactus challange; the folder will contain a thread charting game progress (containing screen shots from the game) and individual polling threads.

while discussion within the polling threads is encouraged, please do not create new threads in this sub-folder; for the sake of organization, unauthorized threads will be deleted.

new, chess-related threads may be posted in the general “mike’s chess challenge” folder

following a move by mike, i will post a screen shot of the image on the “game progress” thread

i will then send a pm the poll chairman, who will then have 24 hours to create the poll with the committee

once polling has closed, the polling committee will lock the thread, and send a pm to astralgruv stating the designated move.

astral will post the okp’s move on gameknot account (ohkeepalounge) and send me a pm to confirm that the move has been made.
