Although I am not sure about the Kayne Rolling stone cover… He is not near any god of any sort…So it turned me off a bit…

to be honest Kanye west pisses me off like at the grammys that songs that he did there was like this ray charles song in the backgorund its like make ur own fucking music guy and like he thinks he’s soo cool well ive got news for u…he’s not

^ Agreed, but that is what it is right? They sample everything else to make music…Is that not what Kayne does?..I am not sure, because after the RS cover I have decided to ignore him…

I will be there! The Hold Steady, Broken Social Scene, The New Pornographers, Manu Chao,a nd the Smoking Popes at one show!!! Excellent line-up this year.

singer/songwriter Brendan Benson and Greenhornes bassist Jack Lawrence and drummer Patrick Keeler.

from looking at previous years photos, it looks like there is an enormous amount of people there…how’s the sound you think? does anybody know roughly how many people show up?

They just got back together at the end of last year. Josh Caterer said he just now feels comfortable enough in his faith to perform the songs again. I guess for a while he only wanted to do stuff that was true to his religion. (Duvall) However, I have heard the NEW Smoking Popes Live album, and it is spectacular. I can’t wait to see these guys again. Its going to be like 1994 all over again.

last year was the first yr. think it was around 30-40k per day, maybe slightly less. sound was good, but there was some bleeding from one stage to the other that was playing at the same time. this year they’re turning the main stages in opposite directions, adding stages in other parts of the park, and expanding so this isn’t a problem again. only other problem last year was the 100 degree temps on sunday, which is unpreventable. but they also brought city busses and had them running w/ the air blasting to sit in and just brought out boxes upon boxes of water and simply gave them to the crowd.
