LOST...Season 4 thread!!!

^^^I love the thoery that Jack’s dad is till alive. The whole “island brings people back to life” theory has some validity. Now, my memory is a bit fuzzy here, but wasn’t Locke’s dad brought to the island not too long ago. Ben told him to open the door and, behold, there is Locke’s dad, bound and gagged, but still there.
I don’t remember how that played out, but I do remember his dad being there. I think the people on the freighter are a group of people who were at odds with the people from the Darma Innitiative. I think that the DI knew that there were people out to get them, and they need to find a way to avoid being found by the “freighter people”. I don’t know why I think that, but I also don’t know why i think alot of what i think.
Oh, and I also think that there is going to be some connection to Lost and Cloverfield. Why do I think this? I don’t know.

And now that I posted in this thread, it should die in 3…2…1…

Here’s a pic of the eye. Doesn’t the structure of his face kind of look like Desmond? Maybe that’s me. And I agree…I think Desmond’s a BIG part of the puzzle. We still don’t know how he survived the hatch explosion, or why he was naked or why he has this clairvoyance power now.

And the Dharma Inititive created the Cloverfield Monster. OH NO!! Either that or the Cloverfield creature is just Hurley in a few years when he gains more weight.

^that eye looks very much like Des’s

yeah it does look like des’s eye, hmmmm

who knows

I’ve done some digging and Jack’s dad may be as important a character on the show as anyone!

Taken from LOST MISSING PIECES (outtakes)

This should have been the 1st scene ever!

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7X9M0FTWACU&feature=related
You Tube - Lost - Missing Pieces 13 - So It Begins

There are many other clips including one that has the others scared shitless of Walt!

Also we see why Ethan was so adamant about helping Claire!

Phinest–Yes Locke’s Dad was on the island, still alive. His theory all along those few episodes he was around is that he had died and gone to either hell or purgatory and that that was what the island was–an afterlife. That kinda tripped me out for a second.

But anyway, Locke sees his Dad for just a minute, then goes off, staying with Others. Locke is asking Ben about what kind of secrets the island holds, and he keeps persisting, so Ben makes Locke prove that he belongs with the Others and “is special,” by forcing Locke to kill his own father. (and Locke’s father actually tried to kill Locke in the past too)

So Locke at first pusses out, so the Others leave him and his tied-up father behind, but then Locke goes and finds Sawyer, and convinces Sawyer to follow him to where Locke has his Dad tied up.

Cripes this story is longer than I expected it would be, but I’m almost done…

so Sawyer follows Locke to an abandoned ship inland on the island (and can somebody explain how ships get over land and somehow end up on the island? wtf?))…It turns out that Locke’s dad is a lot like Saywer in that they were both con-men in the past. Sawyer eventually realizes Locke’s Dad is the person who fucked over his own father, which caused Sawyer’s father to kill his wife and himself, when Sawyer was 5 years old.

So Sawyer then strangles Locke’s Dad and kills him, and Locke is able to bring his DAd’s body back to Others to further prove he “belongs with them” and shoudl know the sercrets of the island.

That scene is really cool though because you see in the following episodes how hard that hit Sawyer. It’s where Sawyer sorta realizes the island is more special and powerful than he ever really imagined, with how crazy that coincidence is with Locke’s Dad and his own parents.

and Brian, those LOST Missing Pieces things should be quite interesting, thanks.

I’m going to start from the beginning and watch all of them.

Another episode in 2 days that is sure to be intense!!

nice find b

i cant wait to watch those!

It’s possible that Jack’s Dad was “healed” by the island much like Locke’s legs and Rose’s disease. I’ve also heard a theory or two that Locke actually died when he was shot by Ben last season and that he was brought back by the island as well since he had “more work to do.” Obviously, Jack’s Dad has a big role here…

Also, how do we know that Jack’s Dad isn’t one of the “Oceanic Six”? Someone else here already mentioned how Jack mentions talking to his Dad in that flash-forward.

Also, i heard today that they’re actually done with flashbacks now…it’s all flash-forward stuff.

^

a Shepard… one who leads the people… cares for the flock… Jacob was the father of a great nation… cared for his flock… EVEN THE NAME is crazy… CHRISTIAN SHEPARD!!! I hadn’t thought about how deep that name is in relation to what’s going on…

thanks for the link, will have to check out those missing pieces things later

Not sure what to expect from tonight’s ep. I’m hoping that because they have scaled down the seasons that we don’t have fluff episode’s this year but if we do, tonight will be a prime candidate!

^meh I don’t see that happenin only two episodes in. Tonight is going to be seck and possibly even more intense and revealing than the first.

The guy on the helicopter just parachuted in…they’re going to have to at least explain that.

? Does anybody recognize this guy?

His name is Fisher Stevens. He is a character actor most known for playing the loveable Indian guy in Short Circuit(number 5 is alive) and Short Circuit 2. He has a distinctive voice and i thought i recognized it as the voice coming from the sat phone on the freighter. I watched the episode again and noticed his name in the credits!

Short Circuit, for some reason, is one of those movies I lump in with Batteries Not Included and Cocoon. I don’t know why.

b/c they all came out in the 80’s?

^^good call on that new character B!!

I gotta let this all sink in still…

What’s so special about Benjamin Linus??

and flashbacks might be over for the original characters, but there were definitely flashbacks tonight about these new fuckers.

the whole plane crash thing is messing with me the most. I simply don’t know what to think.

Well they explained… sort of… who the creepy black guy was that visited Hurely in the mental ward. He hired Naomi to oversee the 4 peeps who flew in on the helicopter to get Ben… who is in some sort of war with those peeps.

In last nights episode the creepy black guy said to Naomi “There are no survivors from flight 815.” Indicating if there were then they should be killed. The whole idea is to get Ben b/c he’s head of the dharma thing or something. Flight 815 was meant to go down and all passengers die for some reason I can’t quite fathom. I think.

I actually was able to watch the whole show last night!

One thing about this show is they ALWAYS stay true to their name sake and keep the viewer LOST in the plot pts. They never give much away or plot points peter out. I find it kinda annoying. For example, a few seasons back the was the big deal with the count down that the Irish character was instructed to reset every 18 hrs or whatever. Then Locke had the big idea of letting it count down… Then there was a big flash and… WHAT?!? What the hell happened? So much time was spent on that plot point for naut but mashed potatoes. Idk maybe I missed the next episode or it was a season finally or something.

Anyway I do enjoy the show over most anything else on network TV.

i just watched recus dawn over the weekend (ok movie, nothing too great) and the parachute dude on lost (daniel faraday) looks a helluva lot like one of the dudes from resue dawn (norman if you saw the movie). i don’t think it is him, and my i couldn’t find who the actor was in lost on imdb yesterday, but i just thought it was funny. RESCUE dawn. we’re here to RESCUE you (kinda)
