LOST...Season 4 thread!!!

::mind blown::

thats all I got for now

::heads to PT’s 15-page thread on tonight’s episode::

man, watching this again, I’m surprised I didn’t cry last night.

seriously non-LOST fans: I’m pretty sure last night’s episode was the best hour of television I will ever watch.

completely epic. Desmond and Sayid are my two favorite characters, and having them together like this is so damn cool.

dude i totally got choked up last night. and that hardly ever happens to me.

wow. just wow.

i’m still trying to wrap my head around the dimensional/time/warping business. Daniel said it was “the mind” doing the travelling back and forth. I guess we’re likely to see the same thing happen to Daniel and he’ll have to find Des as his “constant”…my head is cought in a little chiken/egg thing though, with how the interchange went down between them in 1997…i mean, Des knew what numbers to tell him because Daniel knew them in the future, but Daniel wouldn’t have known them if not for Des telling them to him right? And Des just happened to warp back to the exact time where Daniel had just set up the rat experiment like 1 hour before and was prepared to test out his ray gun?..

still, what a fucking awesome episode.

Baking powder?

“…Also the bidding number was 2342 same as the number that was used in Faraday’s ‘machine’ 2.342…”

23 from 42 is 19. Maybe this is a stretch but it could be a nod to Stephen King. The number 19 plays a key roll in King’s Dark Tower novels, which are centered around “infinite parallel universes” held together by beams of power intersecting at a fulcrum known as the Dark Tower. The Beams, once sourced from magic and now held in place by machinery built by the “old ones” (none of whom remain to maintain this machinery) hold up the Tower which in turn supports all of existence. And the Tower exists in a twin world to the Keystone Earth (that is to say, the Earth/universe at the center of the infinite multiples). And King is a devout Lost watcher, he admits this in one of is editorials for Entertainment Weekly during season two (“The Pop of King” appears, or used to appear, once a month on the last page of ET).

^what the hell does that even mean Neil?

I think he is implying that you were sonted! Hence making you more susceptible to tears.

I wasn’t implying that…

…someone will eventually get it.

I’m actually surprised you didn’t, b.

waynes world?

Ex-squeeze me?

Spacecoyote- Nice theory, but I think it is simpler than that with ‘23’ and ‘42’ being a part of los nombres: 4,8,15,16,23,42. Have you read all of the Dark Tower?

To this day I still use both of those.

^This man blows goats. I have proof.

I’m finishing book VII now. Not literally right this very second but…

Dear Hank,

Your quote, which I subsequently “quoted,” stated that you thought last night’s episode of LOST was the best hour of TV you’ll ever see. Upon quoting that statement, I said “baking powder?” As you can see, “baking powder” was pulled from Wayne’s World. It is another way of saying “Beg your pardon?”

I was essentially saying “beg your pardon?” and questioning (jokingly) such a bold statement from a non-LOST viewer POV.

It will be ok.

baking powder =begging your pardon

ex-squeeze me= excuse me

See: Wayne’s World. This a movie that people born before 1985 recognize as funny.

23 from 42 is 19…the remaining numbers are 4, 8, 15 and 16.
…if you add 4 to 8 you get 12. Then add 15 to 16 and you get 31. Now take 12 from 31 and you get…19… :o
Now I am scared…
