Okay, now you blew my mind.

BA-ZING!

Penny’s address is 423 Chelsea…4 from 23 is…19…

Fuckin’ aye when do the new episodes get up on abc.com??

I was at work and missed it…

god I can’t wait for a new episode…I’ll probably watch the sick Desmond episode from last week again to get my fix…maybe it’ll come out at midnight, but I’m not counting on it

Hmmm…interesting when we get more info on past events. Kind of a sleeper episode that will mean more further along the road. Locke’s losing it, becuase he doesn’t know what to do! I’ll have to rewatch though, b/c I was starting the NyQuil stuppor (I’m pretty sure I saw the whole episode).

^Definitely agree with you Icc about Kate. That girl’s job is to find or create trouble.

Well I’m caught up and haven’t posted in a while…

Anyway, about the thing that effected Desmond and Dan…remember Rousseau saying how he group also came up with a strange “sickness” and dying? Seems pretty similar, yes?

Also, about the numbers, I remember reading some interview with one of the show’s creators. They were saying that the numbers were originally supposed to be just a small part of Hurley’s storyline with the lottery and whatnot. But once they ran the episode, the fans went nuts in trying to figure out what they were, so the show made an effort to incorporate the numbers more into the storyline. I’m not sure if they have any DEEP meaning other than to just be a connection between various things on the island. Kind of like how one person’s doctor in one flashback was another person’s husband or something in another flashback…it just shows that things are connected.

By the way, anyone else pleased that they presented a mystery and then SOLVED it in the same episode with the Desmond episode? Boy, that was refreshing. It didn’t do much in the overall storyline but it worked for me…Desmond’s a great character.

As for yesterday’s show, it was a mild bit of a throwaway episode but I guess it gave us nice insight to Juliet. The entire time I’ve been convinced that Juliet was totally up to something and I didn’t trust her a bit…now I’m not so sure especially since she likely hates Ben and seems more of a victim than anything else. Plus doesn’t this show what could be an achilles heel for Ben?

As for Widmore being behind the boat that makes sense but I don’t buy Ben’s stuff about him wanting to “exploit” the island. Gotta be more than that. Nice to see Ben out and about though…as always he’s likely going to screw everyone over again. He’s easily the best character on the show.

And there’s no WAY that it was Ben who actually sent that Goodwin’s wife…that was clearly the island itself talking to Juliet. A big giveaway was the rain…it seems like it’s always raining when people see visions of the island…I know it was raining when Shannon and Sayid saw Walt in that episode where Shannon was shot. I think the island just takes different forms that may be relatable to whatever character they’re talking to. Goodwin’s wife for Juliet, Jack’s Dad for Jack, Charlie for Hurley, Mr Eko’s brother for Eko, Walt for Locke. It’s all the island’s way of communicating, I think…

anybody know what that site is that takes the whisper audio tracks and breaks them down and get a transcript of the whispering? I thought Big B had put up a link, it was a real hardcore audiophile site, i believe the site was mainly the color black, maybe white font, i’ve been searching for it for a bit now with no luck, any help is appreciated,

i already check lostpedia, but maybe i missed it

all i want to know (ok not nearly ALL i want to know) is who the eff has been pushing the button lately? and if it’s nobody, why is it no longer important, or was it ever?

the explosions/“incidents” make me think it’s kind of important…

^Didn’t the hatch that Des was in go boom? Hence, no button to be pushed. It’s no longer important because the event that it was counting down to has happened (i.e. electromagnetic discharge/purple explosion)

i will have to check out this “Lost” someday. probably on one’a them thar televisioners.

I think that Jack’s father was in Australia to take care of business with Claire, and this is his connection with Aaron (and not wanting to see him). I don’t remember what brought me to that conclusion, but it’s an assumption that my girlfriend and I have been going on for a while.

As to the supposed no-aging of Alpert, I thought that they tried to make him look younger (when he first meets Ben) by giving him long hair, and that now he has in fact aged. I could be wrong about this obviously, but I always thought that a more valid explanation than one person not agin (though the island does work in mysterious ways and may prove me wrong in the future).

Along that same vein, if Claire’s boyfriend were Ben, he would have had to have aged very quickly. I can’t deny the resemblance in the pics above, but again, it seems like a stretch.

Eh…you gotta catch us on a Friday right after the show…there’s tons of silly little chatter.

Stevo

let the silly little chatter ensue!!!

dude…Icc…good call on Aaron’s father. it looks like there is some connection there. maybe he’s Ben’s son? idunno, maybe they were just being cheap and re-using the paintings in different scenes? the resemblence is uncanny though.

so what did everyone think of last night’s episode?

i thought it was good, not great.

i guess Sun is # 5 of the O-6, and it was implying Jin was #6 but that was actually a flashback.

so is #6 whoever was in the coffin? looks like that’ll be a nice way to wrap up part 1 of season 4.

micheal = guy on boat = no big surprise. but it does make you wonder if he first got “home” with Walt and then somehow ended up going back to the boat or if they went straight there. in either case, where the fuck is Walt? and how did Ben get him to be “his guy on the boat?”

yeah, but hasn’t it counted down past zero at lesast once or twice before that time? like when the plane crashed? and didn’t the asian dude refer to past “incidents” in the “instructional video”?

idunno…it seemed like there was some build up of E-M charge or something that was being released in a controlled fashion but then it was all let out at once when the hatch blew up, but isn’t it still building up? that’s all i’m sayin…

^ do we know that they were the same coordinates/bearings? i don’t know that we ever heard numbers or anything…but i feel ya

speaking of numbers, SPOILER ALERT STOPREADING ICC

!!!

i need to go back and look to see what date was on that tombstone. in case you kept reading i won’t say whose grave it was

and i would still love to get dirty with Kate any time. she is drop-dead gorgeous

I’m all about Kate too…she’s the best. They’ve been trying to ham up the sexiness with Juliet too but her face just seems EEEEVIL…I can’t get with it. (By the way, she got nude in that Gigi or Gia film that Angelina Jolie did way back when. Hawt).

Don’t read ICC…spoiler spoiler. In fact don’t even read this entire post. I usually skip this thread altogether if I haven’t seen an episode.

Anyway, from Lostpedia, the date of the tombstone was the date of the crash…which implies that he certainly didn’t make it off the island…he’s going to die on the island somehow.

Also, one thing that seemed like a throwaway scene but probably wasn’t was Bernard talking about karma. I’ve felt that karma has always been a BIG part of the show and this was the first time they actually addressed it. Even the Others were looking for “good people” and didn’t care if they killed the “bad” folks. Even Ben once said that he didn’t try to kill Locke because he’s a “good person.” Of course, Bernard mentions that may have changed since Ben has now killed someone (he never killed anyone before). He also mentions how Jin could be a good guy after he catches the fish but we know from Jin’s past that he wasn’t the greatest guy even if he’s changed his ways. And then we find out he’s dead at the end so that means his bad karma may have been the end of him.

We even saw the island itself take matters into its own hands when (I think it was) the Island in form of Mr. Eko’s brother told Mr. Eko to seek forgiveness for his sins and Mr. Eko refused since he believed he was justified…and sure enough the Black Smoke (representing the island, I think) kills him. To me, a big part of the show is the good person-bad person thing and that often addresses people’s fate.

Overall, some of the episode was boring since the Jin/Sun stuff usually is but that was pretty evil of them to show Jin as a flashback but make us think it’s a flashforward. I should have known when Jin started saying “I’ll kill you” when that dude drove off the panda in the cab…it didn’t fit the current Jin but it did fit the old Jin.

As for Michael, there’s still questions. I think that Ben has somehow blackmailed Michael by either kidnapping Walt again or maybe threatening Walt’s life once they reached the mainland to make Michael get on that tanker. I think it’s the latter since there’s no way that Michael could have just sailed up to the tanker in his little boat and asked for a janitor job and had them completely trust him. He had to have been hired when the boat left the mainland so he could have been in the crew the whole time. Which means he DID make it to mainland but somehow Ben got him to go on that tanker.

This also shows how I think that we’ll never see Walt because, as we saw when he talked to Locke, in real life Walt is MUCH older and yet it’s only been a few months in the life of the show. Unless they find some other actor who kinda LOOKED like Walt, there’s no way they can bring Walt back in the real world (in the visions it’s okay since it’s just a vision and it don’t matter if he looks older).

Then there’s the issue with the false plane. It’s hard to say who you believe. Both Widmore, Dharma, and Ben have the resources to do it and both are basically accusing each other of stuff. It’s hard to say who to believe since both are pretty evil.

A friend of mine did suggest that the diary Widmore got from the Black Rock may have mentioned the Others who appear to have not aged. If it mentioned that, then maybe Widmore would be searching for a fountain of youth kind of thing.

Either way, the show is moving along well…it’s a shame there’s only like two or three new ones left. That’s gonna suck.

Stevo

good thoughts, it was def a builder episode gets ya thinking

werd.

that or he’s hiding out somewhere to avoid being drawin back into the mob (which i admit is pretty unlikely - he’d still have found some way to see his kid being born)

exactly what i was thinking

there is definitely something goin on with time travel, alternate dimensions, time shifting, or something. it could be like when they’re fighting over that sports almanac from the future in Back to the Future II…

Ug…this Thursday could be difficult. With all the tournament games and the fact that I may be at a bar sloppy drunk when Lost starts means I could miss it. Not to mention that my VCR doesn’t record any shows once I switched to cable last year. Hmmmm…
