LOST: The Final Season Thread!

me too, but you do realize the John Locke we know died (like, DEAD died  ) when Ben strangled him, right? Every time we’ve seen “Locke” alive since then he has been Jacob’s nemesis pretending to be John Locke.

So I think us seeing real Locke is pretty much over, unless its in flashbacks or whatever. I do wonder how much the fake Locke will be involved with this season…probably a lot.

Or you can DL it from eztv.it … no commercials and generally uploaded a few hours after it airs on the East Coast …:stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

I DL’d all the seasons for an epic Lost-marathon. It shall continue this weekend as well…

LOST is to television what “The Stand” is to literature, IMO. Don’t watch television, but One will probably find a way to catch these episodes.

A few sittings? That’s pussy talk Glenn…1 sitting…no breaks…piss jug beside the couch. Do it.

FTW^

I realize it but I can’t fully accept it. I don’t want John Locke’s story to be over just like that. I want him to get his due at long last. I’m thankful that we still have Terry O’Quinn on the show though, he is fantastic.

I’m currently in the middle of SEASON 2 AND I MUST SAY. LOST=AWESOME!!

holy shit I was havin some crazy ass LOST dreams this morning… the highlight was smoking a joint with hurley.

^Nice. Did you feast on Dharma brand ranch dressing in the jungle afterward?

I’m sure it has been said many a time before, but I am ever-wowed by the range of emotion and response that Hurley can convey with the single word “dude.” He can say so much in those 4 letters.

^^^^I have a friend who absolutely loathes Kate. I just copied that entire post into an email for him, I’m sure he will thoroughly enjoy.

Booo! Seriously, I hope there aren’t crazy fans trying to say the show is “art.” It’s certainly an interesting show but it’s not art.

This seems more likely, especially with how Jacob appeared as Esau in the Bible which is similar to how the Evil Guy has used Christian, Ben’s daughter and other dead people to appear as “Jacob’s voice” or “the island’s voice”

And I don’t mind watching on TV that much…I mean, they always have some cliffhangers or big moments right before commercials so the break is almost perfect in that it gets your mind racing during the break. It works out well.

And I wonder about the significance of Crazy Libby too. It’s almost like the whole story has so much moved beyond the Libby thing that a big revelation of her doesn’t seem like it would matter. I always thought that it was weird that they showed her at the institution and then killed her off like two episodes later. I guess it may still tie in to Hurley’s past but again, just seems like more details to me. Maybe they intended to have it go somewhere and then decided not to, kind of like the Nikki and Paulo story.

And, yeah, aside from Ben, Locke’s my favorite character too. I have a hard time believing that they built him up into this “The One” character for all this time only to have him killed. You’d think the original Locke would find a way to show up somehow. I’ve been liking how the commercial don’t show CRAP to even give you a clue about what may happen after that bomb went off. I’m pumped baby!

I am disappointed at what happened to Libby as well. I just don’t see what the point in killing off her character was, especially with her connections to the others along with a mysterious past. She is the only one we never saw any flashback episodes about.

I know there were rumors around the time that they were getting rid of people because of trouble outside the show after Cynthia Watros and Michelle Rodriguez both got DUIs and then killed off the show almost immediately thereafter. I believe something similar may have happened with another actor as well, but I’m not sure. They denied it, but I have to wonder if there was some truth because it does seem to me that the Libby character was dropped with no rhyme or reason.

I also vehemently disagree with Eko being killed off. He was one of the best characters on the series and the actor (I won’t attempt to spell his name) is a true talent. They could have done SO much more with him. Lucky Bernard is the only Tailie that made it.

I can’t believe it is on tomorrow!

Cynthia Watros, who played Hurley’s love interest and Island dietian, was asked several times to return for season six but turned down the offer to reprise her role. Her story will be not be resolved unless “Cynthia changes her mind” said Damon. (ComicsonComics)

LOST EVENT: TONIGHT!

recap from 7 to 8

2 hour premiere from 8 to 10

nice.

It’s just about go time!

Actually, it was Mr Eko who was the third person rumored of getting a DUI or other legal trouble and being killed off. Only problem is it wasn’t true and he actually just wanted off the show. This makes me disbelieve the other “kicked off for a DUI” stuff. I mean…seriously…this is Hollywood…these are Hollywood actors…you’re telling me they really will drastically change their storyline because of a lil bit of legal trouble?..Just doesn’t seem likely. I think Ana Lucia’s death was part of the plot though…usually when they get these “bigger” actors like Michelle Rodriguez on these shows, they don’t last more than a season or so. Even in that scene, Libby’s death looked like it was thrown in to be at the same time as Ana Lucia’s.

Like the response above said, Libby probably just wanted off the show. The same with Eko. In the end, Eko’s death was maybe the biggest clue to the whole idea that it was the Evil Dude who was behind the black smoke and not a power of good at all. He refused to repent his actions and got killed and it really didn’t make sense at the time since I always felt the island only killed “good” people…but now it makes perfect sense.

I assume this is Central time? I saw it as 9-11 in Eastern time. I knew I wouldn’t like the new Tuesday slot as opposed to Wednesday because there are always sweet B-ball games on Tuesday night. And of course, my Spartans play a big-time game at Wisconsin right in the exact same timeslot as Lost tonight. Damn you, island. Daaaaaamnnnnn yoooooou.

Either way, I’ll bet the first 15 minutes will be some obscure scene or be real confusing to where we still won’t be able to figure out what really happened until about 20-minutes in. They’re evil like that.

WOW. I’m still trying to figure out what the hell happened last night…lol.
Great opener…since I don’t know how soon is to soon to talk about it (spoilers), I will refrain, lol.

i like how they showed what happened…on both sides of the coin :shh:

but sayid? :open_mouth:  :wtf:

SPOILER ALERT

I <3 Evil Locke! When he comes in as the smoke and takes out the room full of Jacob’s bodyguards. Maybe my favorite moment ever.

I can’t wait for the real big confrontation between Sawyer and Jack. It was pretty sad to see Juliette go. I guess Jacob really didn’t care about her. However, I think Jacob REALLY cares about Locke. If the temple brought Sayid back to life, there is no question in my mind that all the survivors have to do is bring Locke’s dead body to the temple and Locke will be brought back to life as well.

So I guess the idea for this season is Entanglement anyway. The idea that two separate realities can occur at the same time. Jack seems mildly aware of what’s going on, and it seems like Juliette must have known…I’m super excited to see where they go with this.
