Major League Baseball: 2007 Season

The folks up in the northeast are getting a heaping helping of what us Detroiters had to eat all year with the tribe. Enjoy your next mouthful, wheather it be tonite or tomorrow!

I’m pumped.

Was downtown most of the day for work.

Saw lots of workers in Indians gear.

It’s going to be a great one.

::starts drinking after work::

Sorry about last night. The day off worked againts the Indians.

Well, it’s back to Fenway. The next game will be very tough for them because the momentum is Boston’s on their home field. If Cleveland can maintain their game and not get sidetracked by the emotional power of the moment, they’ve certainly demonstrated that they have what it takes to win this in 6.

^Beckett worked against the Indians. He’s f—king brilliant. If Schilling can be true to form at Fenway we’ll see this go to Game 7…

If not, congrats to Cleveland. I’m just excited this is going back to Boston, even if for one game.

The Sox have been involved in some really interesting playoff game 6’s…

2004 “bloody sock”
1986 Buckner
1976 Carlton Fisk waving the ball fair

Does anyone notice that Josh Beckett is slowly becoming one of the most clutch playoff pitchers in a while. Can anyone EVER remember him getting knocked around in the playoffs? I mean ever? You’d think he’d had a bad night at least once but I can’t even remember one. He’s like the next Jack Morris.

And, let’s go tribe…I don’t need to hear Sawks fans flipping out over yet another stupid comeback (not that them beating the Yanks wasn’t bad but the fan reaction gets on your nerves).

^WHOOOOOOOO SOOOOOOOXXXXXXX!!! :stuck_out_tongue:

They really beat up on Carmona tonight. Drew earned his pay and Schilling was true to form. Here comes Game 7…

ahhhh yeah go sox!

The investment the Bosox made last year in the form of Dice-K basically comes down to tonight. If he pitches a gem, it was worth it, regardless of how bad he’s looked for the last 2+ months.

Should be fun to watch.

I hate to say it, because I don’t like baseball as nearly as much as basketball, but…

a game 7 in baseball is way more exciting than a game 7 in basketball.

Having said that, neither match a back 9 on a Sunday during a major championship when Tiger’s in contention.

Sorry Will…

I just wish these last 3 games were a bit more competetive. The Sox really stepped it up and the Tribe lost their magic with 2 outs and runners in scoring position.

I REALLY hope the Rockies kick their ass in the series.

Although Bostons prolly looking at a victory in 6.

GO ROCKIES!!!

I’m sorry…when I know what’s going to happen in any event, it’s not that fun.

I’ll take Game 7 in basketball anyday.

And this Game 7 was interesting until Betancourt decided to give up 38 runs in the 7th and 8th to finish it off. Talk about a letdown. The guy who had been demolishing the Sawks all series finally gives up the clinching runs. Strangely while I dislike the Sawks a little more, I kind of like the Tribe being one of the 11 teams in history to blow a 3-1 lead…just hilarious. The lesson here as always is that Cleveland still blows. Let’s go Rockies.

Stevo

Not only did Betancourt give up all those runs but he gave them up to Pedroia. Who knew Dustin Pedroia ans JD Drew would be the offensive heroes of game 6 and 7.

It will be interesting to see if the Rockies can keep it up against teh sox… in particular Beckett on Wed…

Vegas has The Rockies as dogs at 3-1. Thats a pretty big dog. But Its Huge when you factor in the fact that theyve lost one game over the last 2 months or so.

The Rockies took 2 of 3 in fenway during interleague play this season, including a victory in which they knocked Beckett around.

^ Yeah. My Tigers swept the Cardinals in interleague play in 06! :frowning:

I normally don’t eat Taco Bell, but I might make an exception if it is free!

I think I’ll buy some fake glasses and a mustache to get a 2nd one.

If you placed a $5 bet through www.5dimes.com that the Rockies will beat the Red Sox by more than 7 runs in game 1, you’d win $110.

If you placed that same $5 bet through www.thegreek.com that the Rockies will sweep the Red Sox, you’d win $125.00

Odds like those on a hot team are almost enough to make me do some online gambling.

^Go for it but make it worth your while and drop at least $100 yo mtv raps.

And the Yankees swept the Indians this year.

You can’t predict baseball…it’s impossible.

Stevo

Today could be the single most important day in MLB history.

I heard on Mike & Mike this morning that some news outlet is reporting that several Yankees will be named in the Mitchell report.
