Major League Baseball: 2007 Season

STL Cardinals …repeat …threepeat…fourpeat

But the Mets will be strong

A-Rod has started hot.

nice, the phils took one from the mets or should we say the mets gave one to the phils, with the mets starting pitcher walking in 3 runs on like 7-8 walks, and those were the pivital runs in the game

lets get a streak going fellas

I don’t watch basebally, normally. At all.

But because of the hype I decided to check out the Dice-K vs. Ichirio square off. Dice-K looked completely average.

On the other hand, I WILL be following Bonds closely. I hope he does break the record. I understand he probably broke the rules and took steroids, but I’d like to be able to say “I saw it, and I know exactly where I was when it happened.” It’s one of (if not THE MOST) hallowed numbers in sports: 755.

san fran is playing against the phils in june, if bonds is a homer or two away from breaking it, im going and getting right field seats, man o man if i caught that ball, it’ll be worth a boat load of coin, a boat load i tells ya

Detroit Tigers’ Craig Monroe follows through on his grand slam off Baltimore Orioles pitcher Kurt Birkins in the 12th inning of a baseball game Wednesday, April 11, 2007, in Baltimore. The Tigers won 4-1.

game is prolly gonna get rained out tonight…
a

yeah it seems like there is a good blob of green on weather.com radar going towards nyc

damn that was gonna be my entertainment for the evening, ah well guess i’ll visit my buddy who blows glass

well the game i went to on friday the 13th was bad luck for the phils, they lost 9-6 and 8 of houstons runs came from the bat of carlos lee who hit three homeruns, a grand slam, a three run shot, and a solo, he almost had the cycle of homeruns, fucker

we won on saturday so i suppose thats a plus

funny aside, some kid ran on the field and security had one hell of a time trying to capture him, he slide into second, and still was able to evade security, it was a total cat and mouse scenario, he eventually was caught, but after like a minute of running around, i guess they’ll consider not having college night anymore

Heres a classic clip from the Patriots day game broadcast of the Red Sox Game

^ I heard about that on PTI.
That’s pretty funny.

In other baseball news:

Mark Buehrle pitched the first no-hitter of the season Wednesday night for the White Sox (16th no-hitter in White Sox history) and he was nearly perfect too.

The Chicago White Sox left-hander faced the minimum 27 batters in a 6-0 victory over the Texas Rangers, picking off the only hitter he walked and throwing his team’s first no-hitter since 1991.

Whoa, what a game last night, I have to admit after the 2 A bombs I thought the Sox were pretty sunk, I didn’t have a good feeling right out of the gate cause the Sox suck against lefties but once they got Petitte out of there the story changed pretty quickly. Can’t wait to see the Yans roll the best peanut vendor in yankee stadium out there to pitch today aainst Beckett…Go Sox!

Show up to work today and find out that I get to go to the Cubs game!

What a great start to the weekend.
Zambrano on the mound today as well.

A great day for a game. Gotta love those day games.

Do they still play the blues in Chicago, now that baseball season is back in town?

I don’t want to hear it from Yankee fans anymore. I don’t want to hear about how the Yankees don’t have to do this or that because they are the NY Yankees. The model franchise. The envy of the league. At 15-16 and with a division slipping away, they showed no backbone. They gave roughly 1 million a start to a 44 year old pitcher who can do what he wants aside from gameday.

Why? Because they’ve made so many bad moves in the past (see Igawa, Johnson, Pavano, Wright, Giambi, Browne) and then tried addition by subtraction in the offseason and patted themselves on the back for cutting payroll. Then when the season doesnt go their way they change their “Yankee rules” and throw more money at the situation all over again.

The whole scene at Yankee Stadium yesterday made me sick. And then he goes in the Broadcast booth and all of these NYY company men kiss his ass to no end. Somehow Michael Kay will have the balls to go on ESPNRadio today and pick apart the Mets and call himself an objective unbiased journalist. What an assbag.

My god, did anybody else want to puke after that stupid Roger Clemens stunt yesterday.

Quit trying to act sincere Roger Clemens you fucking stupid douche. You don’t care about the Yankees, you care about getting paid 28 million dollars to be a fucking pussy and drama-show who doesn’t travel with the team on road trips if you aren’t scheduled to start.

Don’t get excited Yankees fans. This will not save your season.

Oh I definetly wanted to puke. As stated in previous post.

I hope he gets tuned up by the D-Rays or whoever in his 1st start.

it will be great if the evil empire doesn’t make the post season

When the snow melts away, do the Cubbies still play, on their ivy-covered burial ground?

DETROIT – Tigers reliever Joel Zumaya is expected to be out for 12 weeks because of a ruptured tendon in his middle right finger.

Zumaya
Zumaya, who regularly throws fastballs at over 100 mph, hurt himself while warming up Saturday night at Kansas City. He was examined Monday in New York by Dr. Charles Melone, who was scheduled to perform surgery Thursday.

After he was injured, Zumaya said he felt a “shocking pain” because of the injury.

“I thought maybe my knuckle cracked,” he said Saturday. “I went to a curveball and I couldn’t even grip the ball. I threw another fastball and it popped again, and a sharp pain ran through my finger. I called down and said, ‘I need a trainer quick.’”

Zumaya is a key member of a strong bullpen that helped Detroit win the AL pennant last season. He is 1-1 with a 3.63 ERA this season, striking out 17 in 17 1/3 innings.

DAMN IT!!!

Zume Zume out for 3 MONTHS!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?
