A “near” future geologically speaking. The last ice age ended 18,000 years ago. Seeing as how we’re still warming, that means that your near-future cooling trend will probably begin in 40,000-50,000 years.
The point isn’t that the warming of the earth’s climate is unnatural. The point is that the warming of the earth’s climate is accelerating at an alarming rate, and the beginning of that acceleration matches quite closely with the beginning of the industrial revolution. I’m not trying to argue that solar winds don’t have an effect, but I think you’ll find that most of the scientific community agrees that the developed world is compounding the problem.
If all the ice in the world were to melt (or once it has all melted as the case may be) sea level will rise by an estimated 70 meters. Think about how much of the world’s population lives within 70 meters of sea level.
Why not go get your data from the scientific community instead of what the media chooses to publish? Perhaps you find it difficult to understand the scholarly writing in real scientific journal articles and need to have it spun into rhetoric instead.
You make no sense. On one hand, you say that nobody should believe what the media spoon feeds, and use spoon-fed media drivel to support your argument. Where are your data? All you got is an article saying that we should believe some dude because he’s got a doctorate. That’s not enough.
