This idea hasn’t progressed very far in the last 3 years. Weren’t we going to work on something like this? Glenn? Ian? Anyone? Come on. How hard could it be? How about just starting at 3/6/09?

I think it would be awesome to do this, and I think it would be pretty easy to keep it organized if there’s a way to keep the individual show threads in chronological order, regardless of the most recent post.
Also, the first post in each thread should be the setlist as it is on the Mockingbird site.
The only real pain in the ass would be building it. Perhaps starting with 2009 and working backwards would be the way to go.
Setlist watching threads could still be in the general Live Phish section, and as soon as the show is over the setlist would be transferred to a new thread on the individual shows board.

This is very similar to what I do each day on the “Today in Phishtory” thread right? I have PMed Ian to see if I could be a mod so I can improve what I do in that thread already…but havent heard back from him.
I guess we kind of have the power to do this now, don’t we?

Not really. It would certainly have setlists and show notes, but there would be individual threads for each show, which would provide room for discussion of whatever: memories of the experience, comments on the performance, comparison of different sources…
The other major difference is that every show would be in chronological order, so if you happen to pop in your tape from xx/xx/94 and hear something really cool that you want to mention, you know right where to go.
IDK though… It would be a pretty major undertaking to put together.
^ OHhhh…I see what you mean now. Hell yeah. That would be pretty sweet. I would be willing to do whatever need be done do slowly but surely get it together. I like it. 
I could maybe start some tinkering. But not now.

Maybe if we could come up with some standardized format, each mod could take a year or two and this could be easily done in a couple of hours total. Any mod that doesn’t want to contribute will be forced to face the gallows.

I think the easiest way would be similar to the Phish Song/SNL polls.
Start on the last date of the year, and work backwards, sticking each as you go along. I think it would work that way… but maybe it is reversed.
