More kudos to Jim Steinman for Bat Out Of Hell. It’s his music, and it was pretty solid for its time.
Well-put Will. I can’t see I could ever see myself getting into Meatloaf, but if I did, that is most likely where I’d start.
The actual SONG Bat out of Hell really isn’t that good. It starts off good but then it gets too slow and meandering for my tastes. He’s got some better songs on that album for sure, though.

OH SHIT! I am so glad that proletareat brought this up. I think that Bat out of Hell is one of the essential 70’s albums and work of rock genius. Sure its cheesy and a little overblown, but the songs still stand the test of time. The album flows very nicely and the complete piece is one of rock’s greatest albums. I take shit from arguing this prospective, but not half the shit I catch for being a Phish fan!

my uncle loved this album.
he would put it on when we would stay over when we were little kids. Can’t recall anymore details of the memory.
I remember having this tape when I was 9 or 10 years old and loving it.
A pretty good song, I’ll admit, for what it is, but I don’t remember the rest of the album.
