I have no idea why I thought they were fake. I didn’t mean to insult your intelligence or anything like that. What brand were they? I think the brand name or the packaging just put the idea in my head that they weren’t real.

Guys, I highly recommend growing a beard. It’s an easy way to have fun without doing anything. It really made me feel more like a creature here on planet Earth. (I thought about being a 17th century fur trader or the narrator of Punch You In The Eye.) At the beginning of last August I was tired of shaving, so I just stopped. I didn’t know how long I was going to grow a beard. The longer it got, the less I wanted to shave. Jamie was a real trooper. The novelty wore off for her pretty quickly, but she was willing to put up with it. When the Blackhawks made the playoffs I had my playoff beard all ready. (It was only good enough for the Western Conference Finals. ) When I bought Phish tickets for the summer tour back in the winter I didn’t think that I would keep my beard that long. As June got closer and closer I knew there was no way I could shave before Alpine. I held onto it for another week after that. The beard ended up making it just under 11 months. My previous record had been 8 1/2 months. It was a little longer on the left side. Aside from the mustache, I never trimmed it.
I never knew I looked so crazy.
