Happy Festivus, everybody!

Just finished wrapping the last few presents. Whew!

Since relations aren’t good with my parents and Holt’s parents’ house is a disaster, it’ll just be the 3 of us this year and I’m actually pretty excited about it. It’s our 1st xmas in our new home and I’m glad we’ll be free to do it our own way and start our own traditions.

Holt has to work xmas day, so Makenzie and I will get to do all kinds of mommy/daughter type stuff!

My brother and SIL will be coming through on Sunday for breakfast.

Supposed to snow, so we might get a white christmas 2 years in a row :slight_smile:

i’m going home for christmas eve stuff tomorrow.

i offered to work christmas day. a lot of the guys i work with have kids they need to be with and i don’t. i could really use the overtime on my next check. direct deposit on 12-31 for NYC :slight_smile:

So… I walked over to the bakery down our street and they pretty much showered us with loaves of bread and pastries and croissants and just all sorts of delicious shit, smiling so nice and saying merry christmas over and over again…

I told them merry christmas. :shh:

I just couldn’t resist their damn christmas spirit and selfless giving… and of course, their delicious breads and pastries.

^the thing that bothers me sometimes when I feel like someone is just being nice because they’re in the holiday spirit or whatever is that it shouldn’t take a holiday for people to be caring and sweet and whatnot

its like that hockey game I went to the other day, every time a bum or somebody made contact with us my buddy seemed to be extra nice, even if he didn’t have any change to spare or whatever he still seemed to be a lot more respectful and caring than the last time we went down to see a hockey game back in November…it was real cool to see him like that, but I couldn’t help but think it was just because of the holidays

But these folks are always nice, they were just genuinely pumped on giving us shit and wishing us a merry christmas, which was somewhat refreshing.
