when i work with machines i will be able to hear still.i was using the ipod ones which sound good but not during work ;D
i use the nano works perfect cause it so small.
The noise cancelling ones are awesome if you get them to fit. Like was mentioned above, they come with different fittings usually so should fit pretty much everyone.
I got a pair of Sennheiser CX300’s, pretty cheap and sound great. Glad you are enjoying your creative though will.
i have a similar pair of those rubber in-ear-noice-cancelling ones and i will never go back.

I mow lawns in the summer, and when I put them on I can barely hear the mower, all I hear is great tunes! (which isn’t what my boss wants to hear who is a music Nazi, but whatever…)
ya i do landscaping and bush and tre pruning so im always using shears and chainsaws

they’re they only ones that don’t hurt my small ears and they dont’ fall out!
