It threw me for a loop at first, but I like it. There’s a little more indie rock sound in this song than I’m used to from Mike, especially in the bridge.
This opened up the Buffalo show I saw last October… I dug it a lot. This is a pretty great band.
Mike’s new song “Void” is really cool musically, but the lyrics kind of creep me out.
“I find that an empty void is sexier than having it filled”
Now, he might be referring to the superficial image he has of a person before he gets to know them. People are less ideal once they start talking.
But really it just conjures images of a jim jam tuffin up a nonny. You know what I mean?
