^oh ya I forgot about the Moby Dick tease!
indeed it was good times meeting you, Dan. Thanks again for getting me tix in advance.
2 hours before the show, we were walking around the back side of the venue, and I saw the guitar player. And then after another few seconds Mike came out, and got into a old white limo. I yelled “Mike, WHOOOOOOO!!” and he quickly acknowledged me before getting into the limo.
I also thought the show was very good. 2 or 3 times I remember really enjoying what they were doing jam-wise, and I LOVED hearing Soul Food Man. That song is kickass.
I think the drummer is the weakest link, and the band still seems like a bit of an awkward collection of musicians. But they are still young as a group. And this keyboard player Mike found is REALLY good.
It was a much needed good night after a drama-filled weekend, and I’m really glad I went.
