Man, Padres have really made it interesting this last month. Their remaining schedule isn’t a walk in the park either. If they can pull off a playoff birth I’d be quite happy!

Went to a Phillies-marlins game in Florida about 6 years ago. We were the only 3 people in the upper deck, first basr side. NO ONE around us.
Beer vendors didn’t even bother. Had to hike down to the lower level to get anything. All the stations on the upper deck were closed.
We had a blast though! And hey, I got a foul ball that night!!
This is expected but have you seen the Braves games? They’re in a race for the playoffs, it’s Bobby Cox’s last year and they’re as empty as the Marlin games. Of course, the worst is the Rays fans who only show up for Sawk, Yankee and playoff games and their team is 30 games above .500. That’s a number one sign that your team needs to move. If you can’t even get fans when the team is really good then that’s it.

actually the Pittsburgh Pirates have worse attendance than the Marlins.
and I’d like to say for the record that the Dolphins are about the only team that do not suffer from this Florida tradition. Probably because they’re the oldest and most storied.

Vikes falling apart, so I have to stay with my Twins no matter!
I watched the Tigers game last night and in the 11th inning Brandon Inge struck out and then made it to third base. The strike out pitch was a wild pitch and then Pierzynski (misspelled, I’m sure) totally botch the throw to 1st and Inge made it all the way to 3rd base. I don’t think I’ve ever seen it. The Tigers are out of it but apparently we’re determined to ruin it for the Sox.
if the Marlins could finish .500 and ahead of the Mets, I’ll be satisfied.
