Galarraga is back in the lineup. He smoked the Sawks yesterday. Not bad going 5-2 in 7 games against the Yanks and Sawks. Sure the Sawks have sucked lately but they’ve had Detroit’s number for some reason.
(And that’s such a weird pic but I love it.)
So, Oswalt is interested in a trade and the Twins have expressed interest… You know that this means Det will go get him now, right?
^They may try, but it looks like Washington is upping the ante. Oswalt may be a better choice for the AL, though IMO. IF Detroit or Minn got him, that would make that race very interesting…considering the White Sox can’t hit…AT ALL!
Is there that perception? We steal whoever the Twins want? That’s funny because we’ve always seen the White Sox as the same way. Just this summer they got involved in the Johnny Damon thing because we were interested.
Either way, our interest has nothing to do with the Twins. It has to do with the fact that our #2 pitcher in Porcello is struggling and our 3,4,5 pitchers are named Jeremy Bonderman, Dontrelle Willis, and Armando Galarraga and our big sign-and-trade pitcher Max Scherzer has already been sent to the minors. So there’s that.
Either way, I’m not sure I trust Oswalt. NL pitcher going to the AL is a big warning sign to me. Where did Max Scherzer come from?..You guessed it…the NL…and now he’s in the minors.
I’m making the annual trek up to Wrigley tomorrow. Actually going to the game on Thursday. Going to go to the Museum of Science and Industry tomorrow, get some Chicago pizza and walk around.
Now if the real Cubs will please stand up I’d appreciate it. We lose 5 of 6 to the Pirates and then play Philly tough in a 2 game series and take 2 of 3 from Texas.

Good baseball day here in MN!!!
This last two week stretch was supposed to put the nail in the coffin for the red sox, some said… playing detroit, yanks, twins, phillies and rays… after dropping the series to the tigers and splitting with the yanks they have gone on a tear and roughed up the twins, phillies and now sweeping the rays down south. Ortiz is knocking them out of the park, the pitching has come around and the new guys are folding in and being productive… this could be an interesting season after all… we shall see.

No actually, I don’t feel that way at all. The Yankees/Red Sox series are typically some of the best baseball ever. They are even better when both teams are evenly matched.
Sorry Ryan about the double loss yesterday in MN. See, I feel badly when the Yankees defeat the Twins, but relish when then beat the Sox. It’s the same thing I feel when the Giants beat the Redskins as opposed to when they beat the Cowboys. Actually I love when any team beats the Cowboys. But that’s another story.

I have a co-worker who has followed them for years so he’s pretty happy. It’s nice to see these teams that sucked for so long do well.
