Here comes a more coherent review… No alcohol incolved. ;D

7/1/06 Tower City Amphitheater - Cleveland, OH
Gomez and U-Melt opened.
1:
Crab Eyes > Lazarus, Seat of My Pants > New York City > Meat reprise* > New York City > Seat of My Pants
2:
Join Together > Jazz Wank > Spine of a Dog > Spaz Medicine, She > 32 Things
E:
Plane Crash
* This concludes the Meat of 6/30/06.

During U-Melt and Gomez we were hanging by the river outside in the parking lot, getting our drink on. We could hear the music fine, and it is definitely not for me… Atleast I don’t think so… I’ll give them another chance sometime down the line I’m sure…

We ended up walking in as soon as ‘Crab Eyes’ started… Which was an interesting choice since they opened the last Cleveland show with the same song about five months ago. The ending segue of the first set was just UNBELIEVABLE. I was completely lost in everything going on. Confusion ran free in my mind as they kept going back and forth between NYC and Seat of my Pants.

A nice The Who cover to open up the second, definitely had the crowd up and ready. As a side-note about the crowd, the Tower City Amphitheatre was EMPTY… I would say less than half filled. This led to plenty of dancing room, and also a great circle of the hackey sack right next to the stage during setbreak. ‘Spaz Medicine’ and ‘32 Things’ were the jam highlights for me, from what I remember.

And then… Plane Crash encore. EXACTLY what I wanted to hear… Going into the show that was the song I wanted since they didn’t play it on my birfday show… Al walked to the mic and made some comment along the lines of “OK, here is one of our slower ballad songs”.

But no, no slow ballad. PLANE CRASH. Absolutely the jam of the night. I would guess it flew into the twenty minute mark easy as pie.

This was the moe. I was used to, after it seemed like they had an off night the last time I saw them.

Anyways… moe. is great. See them if you get the chance.

well i was kinda pissed, i couldnt get any one to go with me, and then around 830 we get in my car to go have a bon fire, and i turn on some moe and then everyone wants to go once they hear some moe again. but by that time it was to late to go to the show, so i just got drunk around the bon fire instead.
