I can’t tell whether to post in here or not … is this thread getting moved to the Member Projects sub-forum?

Anyway, the long & short of it is that I’m a singer/songwriter/lead guitar player/bass player who dabbles in drums and piano and records solo albums at home to the delight of tens of people.

Raising a family and working a day job, playing gigs on weekends mainly for part time income … those gigs are typically 95% cover songs, so I occasionally get out there and play for pennies in order to thrust my original songs upon the ears of innocent cafe goers.

I’m envious of those of you in gigging original groups. Live it up dudes.

i play guitar, been doing it for about 10 yrs now, can also play the bass, or banjo, or mando, or pretty much any stringed instrument

styles of music I play, hmmmm well i can play covers and such but mainly i play for my own entertainment and play my own chord progressions (songs, if you want to call them that) then improv over the chord progressions

my style is a bit odd, when i was learning to play I couldn’t play too loud as my dad was normally sleeping, so i learned to play with my fingers, ie fingerpicking, thumb etc… I can also use a pick very well, but I pride myself in my finger techniques, it’s what gives my sound, MY SOUND
