Announcing the 2011 studio release from Columbia, SC rock band Pinna: “Stay and Believe”. The band’s sophomore effort expands on its musically diverse 2008 debut “Parallel Dimensions” with twelve dance-able, rock-able, and reflective tracks.
With gritty crowd-favorite romp “Cigarette” and dance homage “Partygirl”, the album’s surging energy is met with relaxed glimpses of time in a lover’s reflective “Lay Me Down” and dreamscape “Stay and Believe”. Distinct trio sounds (guitar-bass-drums) anchor the album while bleeding guitars and supplemental vocals truly make this a sculpted studio effort.
Teaming up with recording engineer and producer Tommy Carnes (working at Nashville’s Maple Studios, co-owned by engineer Taylor Bray), the album blooms and quiets appropriately, while local artist Maria Fabrizio creates perfect spacious but focused visual imagery to accompany this full-length release’s development.
