Trust me GR, you do not want to hear 4.15.04. A buried alive opener cannot salvage this show. Quite possibly the lowest point of Phish’s career.
The second night is definitely better. Still, only three moments are worth listening to more than once: BOTT->Possum, the monster Twist jam, and the Hood encore.
4.17.04 second set: not as bad as 4.15, but the song selection really kills this set (why not do songs that Mike and Page sing if your voice sounds like sandpaper??), and Trey’s playing is not exactly great either. Pebbles and Marbles is the highlight.
Its funny, phish.com has a picture from 4.17.04…Trey is walking off stage with his finger pointed to his head like a gun. He knew it was bad.
