I’m still outraged.

Hartman. Hands down best ever. Belushi and Farley were surely both funny, but way WAY overrated.
Belushi was overrated, Farley wasn’t. Hartman was more versatile, yes. But overall I’ll take Christopher Farley.
Keep Farley. I’ll hang with Belushi. At least he and Dr. HST were friends. Until they found Belushi crying in the ditch in front of the Owl Farm that is. I heard that was the last time they hung out together. It’s like saying "Who’s better? Mr. Miyagi, or Karate Kid? Belushi is the Alpha and Omega of over-weight pharmacologicaly addicted, dead comedians. He paved the way for equal rights so the The John Candys, and Chris Farleys of the world can shine while thier light is burning or er ehhhhh…cough…dimming.
This is true, he definitely paved the way. There’s no disputing that.
He did it with Little Boxes Of Donuts.
And a sword.
Check out the book “Live From New York.” There’s some good stuff in there about Belushi and the early years of SNL.
“Wired” is something I’d like to read and see, too.
I have the Best of Belushi SNL VHS tape…somewhere.
Belushi no doubt
Farley!
You spelled Belushi wrong!
I’ll turn this damn thing around…and ruin your PRECIOUS little field trip… PRETTY DAMN QUICK!!
This tournament was quite a monumental undertaking. I still cannot accept the outcome though. Is there anyone who truly believes Chris Farley was anywhere near the best SNL cast member? I’m not saying he wasn’t funny, but he just does not come close to the talent of other cast members over the years.
I’m going to have to demand that Neil spend the next several weeks to months recrafting the tourney and recruiting more participants, preferably ones that share my opinion.
For real though, I just wanted to Type my SNL Thoughts, so I came here to do it. I still mourn the loss of Phil Hartman. I actually harbor resentment towards the crazy wife who took him from the world. Her little “snap” cost the world one of the most versatile and talented comedic actors of all time. I am reminded of him from time to time when I see Zap Brannigan on Futurama (a part written for him) or hear/see something that I know he would have been perfect for.
