he would if Chicago’s smothering defense would let him, we got his monkey looking ass on lock down. hey bigb i cant find my broom anywhere can i use yours?
Tonight’s win was fantizemonious!!! Things are lookin good but i won’t be satisfied till we win and can move on. They say a series does not really start until the home team loses 1. Well hopefully that will happen friday! [color=red]GO BULLS!
If you are not a Bulls fan…You will fear this man!
Antoine Walker is the most overrated player in the history of the NBA, IMO. The guy shoots like 29% from 3-point range, but everyone likes him because he makes so many…yeah, 'cuz he shoots 450 of them a year. And that stupid shimmy. What a fat-head.
Umm…wait a second…you have a shooting guard playing point? Yeah, that ALWAYS works well. So, lessee…what is so great about Larry Hughes. He dribbles the ball up, passes the ball to LeBron then stands there as King James works his magic. Great job, Larry. Here’s a 40 million extension.
Varejao was impressive (and is light years better than Gooden) but I think everyone’s on to him this year. And I believe that Nocioni leads the league in taking charges. But you were close.
Are you KIDDING ME!!?? You take Gooden, Ilgauskas and Pavlovic and compare them to ANY of the other players on any of the current NBA playoff teams and see how they measure up.
Yeah, and half the time these guys are playing in crunchtime because Z and Gooden are no-shows. Good times.
The Cavs starting five? If by Cavs starting five you mean LeBrons left leg, LeBron’s right leg, LeBron’s left arm, LeBron’s right arm, and LeBron’s head, then yes, the starting five is golden.
I’d LOVE to see who those wins are against. And what meaning is this? So, if the Cavs get in trouble in the playoffs are they going to sit LeBron on the bench because his team has such a great record? This stat means nothing.
That’s a wise thing to do.
That’s fine if you think that but I saw plenty of Cavs games this year and against the elite teams in the league (like your division rival Pistons, for example) you guys weren’t even in their league. Heck, in the last game the Pistons didn’t even try and still won. That’s a BAD basketball team.
Mind you, I didn’t say they’re the worst playoff team ever (that’s the Wizards), I said they’re the worst team to ever be ranked as a #2 seed. LeBron makes them a playoff team but the fact that they’re a #2 seed just shows what a joke the East is anyway.
And no…don’t go coming on here saying “Oh yeah!?? Well we swept the Wizards” as a good reason.
Anyway, onto playoffs
Yeah, these Pistons/Magic games are hard to watch. For one, the Magic are playing their asses off and the Pistons are fooling around, laughing it up and having a good ole time and getting lazy when they get a big lead early on and are STILL winning. Plus it’s really sad see guys like Darko and Arroyo playing in crunchtime since they’re the only ones showing up in the fourth quarter. Don’t get me wrong…it’s just a little depressing.
Anyway…nice work, Bulls. I’ll admit I thought that Shaq would have more of an impact. Of course, I suppose I keep thinking he’s the same Shaq of a few years ago. Not to mention that the Heat aren’t defending the jumper nearly as well as I thought they would. Pat Riley actually reached those old farts last year and got them playing hard but I guess two years in a row is too much. Oh well, the Bulls are eliminating the biggest threat to the Pistons anyway. Thanks.
And I’ll admit I’m not surprised by Golden State. It’s a team of nothing but shooters and when they get hot, they can beat anyone. I mean they DEMOLISHED the Pistons in both games they played them this year. Heck, they blew out Dallas at home earlier this year. They’re a strange team.
I’m more surprised with Denver. When the heck did they learn to defend? The Spurs were frickin useless in Game 1.
Oh well…these things happen. I’m sure both Dallas and SA will straighten things out.
The Suns are no surprise at all but I’m a bit disappointed in Utah. I thought they would put up more of a fight.
Of course, we’ll see when these games go to Game 3.
Actually, I’ll admit I didn’t look it up. I heard one of the announcers during the Heat/Bulls game 2 say that. So blame them. Of course, it’s my fault for assuming that any TV announcer has a clue what they’re talking about. And like I said, I don’t deny that Varajeyo is good. He is.
For one, the Hornets aren’t bad. They were only two wins behind the #6 seed Nets. They’re five wins behind the Heat. They also played in the much tougher Western conference and in the toughest Division in basketball with the Rockets, Spurs and Mavs. Put them in the East and they’re easily a 5 or 6 seed. EASILY.
And while we’re at it, I WILL look THIS up.
Tyson Chandler: 9.5 points, 12.4 rebounds, 1.8 blocks and 0.5 steals per game; 62.4 FG% and 52.7 FT%; $9.5 million cap figure; 24 years old.
Ben Wallace: 6.4 points, 10.7 rebounds, 2.1 blocks and 1.5 steals per game; 45.3 FG% and 41.0 FT%; $16 million cap figure; 32 years old.
Wow, cheaper, better numbers, younger AND better offense. I’m not saying he’s better now…but…well…Ben ain’t getting any younger. And when energy guys start to decline, they decline FAST. Good luck, Chicago.
I’m happy for Tyson and his good numbers this year. Keep in mind he is also the only starter on NO who stayed healthy the entire season. I’ll still take Ben over him regardless.
