I would like to see a Show Trading Feedback thread. Not that any member of the OKP would screw over another, but it would be nice to see “Great trade with post-hiatus guy”, it would help keep things smooth around here.

You could accumulate cool trade points and score points to get cool stuff on your profile like the ebay feedback system

Unfortunately, my rating would probably be something like, “Unclassy Turd-Face.” I was supposed to send out a show about 2 months :-/ ago, but haven’t (Sorry about that, Will…I don’t really have a job/haven’t had time to go to the post office to get the yellow bubble envelopes/have a shit load of work I’ve got looming over my head).
There needs to be an Iron Chef like rating system for trades…5 points for speed of turnover, 5 points for sound and 10 points for overall rockingness. Tis would make people psyched for instant turnaround because they would want to have more points, also it would enhanch the trading scene by making more pople want to get what they have out there for people to hear…so eaf, dude go to that post office and get er done, you lost 5 points allready but there is still 15 out there for you to grab.
I’m totally against this.
If one person does well from the beggining, he’ll get a good rating and suddenly have more trades than he can use. Conversely, if a person screws up, he’ll get a bad rating and won’t get any trades.
Unless a person does a completely awful job on the trade, there is no reason to talk about it.
I don’t think that this is a bad idea, but I basically trust that people on the OKP aren’t going to rip me off. If people have never posted on this board before and then their first post is asking for a trade, just make sure they send the discs first. Other than that, I don’t see any reason for rating other traders, I think if you’re on the board a lot, you know who is a good and bad trader (and there really aren’t many bad traders). I don’t care to rate my fellow OKP’rs…sometimes people can’t get discs out immediately due to personal and financial reasons, but I’ve got a lot of phish to get me through the night anyway…I think you are all great!

There is a Karma option available on this board which allows members to give each other ratings. I know this is more of a general thing but it would give some sort of indication of the boards feelings towards that member. I currently have it disabled but what do you reckon?
I’m pretty sure there are Proboards.com created codes which allow for things like currency systems, points and other things too. I could look into it?
