New LivePhish: 07-22-1997 Raleigh, NC

Did anyone notice the random pop-up during Simple of the guy doing sign language of the lyrics???

lol, man that was awkward. I laughed.

and yeah, I did get it at Best Buy. They only had one on the shelves, and I got it!

I also got Mike’s new CD, which I just may listen to right now.

^lol…yeah that was kinda odd…the little bubble with the sign language…pretty random as it’s the only time it pops up…and I wish no ill will on individuals hard of hearing, but i doubt they’d be at a concert…probably not the best activity for them to enjoy. once again no offense meant.

Yeah but can you imagine being at a Phish show (of all places!) and not having one of your senses? Talk about wild and stimulating.

Anybody have any luck finding a secret stash? I know on the IT DVD you can go into the woods and on the Brooklyn DVD you can light up the neon rings, so is there something extra swimming in Walnut Creek? Maybe so, maybe not. Anybody know sign language? Are those the words to Simple or instructions to DVD watchers how to find the pot-o-gold. Of course there might be nothing and this is just a big waste of time.

Wait whats the deal w/ Brooklyn?

I just got that not too long ago.

From the main menu on the Brooklyn DVD you can light up the neon rings to find a few hidden extras. The -7 mix is pretty sweet.

oops scratch that, there is no -7 mix, I was thinking of the waves mix which is on the IT DVD, but still a couple of cool hidden extras on the Brooklyn one.

Sweet, I’ll try that. Thanks!

This is a serious Down with Disease, and wowza its great having video of this now. I just watched it for the first time all the way through.

The shots of Trey locked in, shredding are f’n great.

And I like how the jam pretty much just has three sections that are stretched out nice and evenly, and holy hell that segue into Mike’s has to be considered one of the best ever. Perfect. I always knew it was good, but seeing it now on video makes it even cooler.

This show really has a professional polish to it that Vegas and Brooklyn just don’t have.

Brooklyn’s pretty nicely done, IMO.

Vegas wasn’t all that bad.

And the segue is good, but it ain’t no “Drowned -> Rock and Roll.”

I mainly mean music-wise when I mention professionalism.

Found it… I thought it was great, I was blown away by it.
It was alot like chewing a 5 gum…

Got it today. Listening to Left Nuts right now, the Jim is good.

I am stoked to watch this tonight.

Anybody else need a copy of Left Nuts? I send-spaced it so just let me know.

i would like a copy of your left nuts please?

^^thats illegal!!

Fee, those clear things that look like teleprompters protect the other members of the band from any flying broken drum sticks.

I’ve been sitting on this DVD for about a week, just watched the first set last night with much enjoyment. I like the original arrangements…did anyone else notice Vultures didn’t have the second verse. Second set tonight.

Anyone wanna enlighten me on how to get into the woods on the IT DVD please?

Thanks!!

;3

From the main menu on disc 1 use the navigate back button until an arrow appears over the trees then select, if the disc is in your computer you can just move your cursor over the trees until the arrow appears. I “highly” recommend following their directions from that point. Enjoy!

DVD one is sick. I love that the opening music is the Water in the Sky. I enjoyed that one and the Taste. I rewound a few times to hear the thunder, and that version just kicked.

DVD two tonight.

nice, thanks for the knowledge!!!
