New LivePhish release?

The setlist & lengths look awesome… how is the show itself? YEM is my song & '95 is YEM’s year… I love '95 YEMs. I am expecting big things from this one.

I wonder if they’ll ever release the Albany '95 YEM.

the videos fo this show are great. that hood is special for sure. the videos show you the ease they could perform those songs in that era. not so much later on.

That’s one of my favorite parts about '95… halloween the Divided Sky, Harpua, YEM, Suzy… they’re all very tight & just well played. Quadrophenia presented the most homework for the band of all the Halloween shows. The UCF show is sparkling clean. & then of course NYE… you could make a case for it being the greatest Phish show of all time. The only other NYE show that even gives it a run for its money is '97, & I’ve never heard a good recording of it. The improv in '97 was superior I think, but '95 the songs themselves are played the best I think. They were just on fire, churning out Rebas & YEM’s like they’re hot cross buns & fr

Haha I made a bet with myself that someone’d catch that in no more than 10 minutes… much shorter. Good work. Big Cypress doesn’t count as an NYE show. Or a show period. It just isn’t fair to other shows. It’s like a parent trying not to play favorites when one kid is obviously superior in every way… “ohhh, McNichols '97 & Roxy '93… you are very special…” & then they look over at Cypress grinning widely & think “it just isnt fair… you fucking bastard who discovered the cancer cure…”

NYE '97 was a huge letdown.

i just ordered this new release as well as 11/14/95 and 12/29/97. I hope they get here tomorrow, last order i waited nearly a week. LP is lucky it was worth it.

I enjoy the 12/29/97 show more than the UCF show, got them the same day. Second set of the MSG show is excellent… Bowie->Possum->Can’t Turn You Loose->Tube may be my favorite sequence of the entire run. The Disease is underachieving, being '97 & all but the rest of the set is stellar. I always enjoy Train Song, Crossroads & Golgi. Theme is decent. Fluffhead is always a welcome treat. Antelope is definitely above average, good shit. Enjoy. the UCF show’s Stash->Manteca is exceptional, gotta love Diz.

bwahahaha

Let’s hear it for Apron Man on the hammer solo!

;D

Vegas '96 is on the way… I believe.

I actually heard this show for the first time the other day and LOVED IT. So many stellar versions of a lot of songs. Just a great all-around show.

12/06/96 Aladdin Theater Las Vegas, NV

As Relix subscribers have already discovered via their CD Sampler, a new live Phish recording is slated for release this fall. 12/06/96 Aladdin Theater Las Vegas, NV captures the band’s final show on a thirty-five date tour. The version of “Julius” that appears on the sampler, opens the second set of a show that is best-known for its encore. Primus’ Les Claypool and Larry LaLonde joined in for much of “Harpua,” which also featured guest appearances by John McEuen and four Elvis impersonators, with Primus’ drummer Brian Mantia later stepping for the “Suzy Greenberg” that followed and closed out the night.
