New LivePhish release?

Fall '95 is stellar. I am disappointed they selected the Binghampton show for LP1… I’d rank 10/11, 10/21, the Fox Theatre run, UCF (which has now been released), the 11/16 WPB show, Hampton, 12/01, UMass, 12/17, & obviously NYE ahead of it. In terms of overall consistency & quality, I think Fall '95 might be my favorite. Fall '97 is my favorite overall, but '95 was a long tour with some sick shows dispersed throughout. & also worth noting, the 12/09 YEM is my all time favorite. Absolutely killer.

question: is that really yem?

If it is the Iron Sheik and Lily Tomlin have a message For Yem!

Did they release this yet?? I haven’t seen it on LivePhish yet.

i really would have prefered to dl the flacs over the discs, but the subtraction of tracks has really bummed me out. tell me how this works when they claim that they don’t have the digital rights to songs but are able to give you for example a full IT recording that includes the very GTBT that supposedly was off limits. and to then not include the soundcheck w/the dl is ridiculous. why encourage people to buy the cds when they obviously make more money via the dl’s. it costs less for them to deliver and if they want to tout environmental responsibility then the dl’s are the clear choice. i won’t rant anymore. i’m just glad they are pumping these out at a reasonable rate.

some artists don’t want to give them the rights, and can take a lot of litigation to pull off

see nonphish discussion. I’m excited about the release.

i just realized that GTBT IS included. purple rain>HYHU, highway, and the soundcheck are not. still sucks about the soundcheck.

ohh well, some is better than none. 95 kicks ass, not my favorite, but still sweet.

^agreed, but i still want the soundcheck.

Just out of curiosity, what’s the big draw for this show?? The selling point, as it were??

Besides the fact that it is live Phish?

Dennis Miller.

reba is pretty sick.

The setlist & lengths look awesome… how is the show itself? YEM is my song & '95 is YEM’s year… I love '95 YEMs. I am expecting big things from this one.

I wonder if they’ll ever release the Albany '95 YEM.

Soundcheck:

the videos fo this show are great. that hood is special for sure. the videos show you the ease they could perform those songs in that era. not so much later on.

That’s one of my favorite parts about '95… halloween the Divided Sky, Harpua, YEM, Suzy… they’re all very tight & just well played. Quadrophenia presented the most homework for the band of all the Halloween shows. The UCF show is sparkling clean. & then of course NYE… you could make a case for it being the greatest Phish show of all time. The only other NYE show that even gives it a run for its money is '97, & I’ve never heard a good recording of it. The improv in '97 was superior I think, but '95 the songs themselves are played the best I think. They were just on fire, churning out Rebas & YEM’s like they’re hot cross buns & fr
