Hey, speak for yourself.
I plan on living forever.
Oh…that’s good to know. Freddy Mercury has been wondering about this for years…
Ba-zing!
ouch…
Why is it ouch?
i feel like the last 4 yrs in a row people have said the same thing about mars.
and last year it was no where near the size of the moon.
and its not going to be this year.
im such a buzzkill.

im just saying…mars the size of the moon? come on.
Please stop killing my buzz, Thomothy.
Whoah, how fuckin’ weird. This thread just reminded me of a dream that I had last night. I had a dream that I looked up in the sky and saw 2 moons. And then I saw 3, and was really weirded out about it. I’ve never heard of Mars appearing the size of the moon before, until I read this thread just now. That’s crazy coincidental. I’m gonna be in a funk all day because of this.
hmmm…so is this 12:30 Eastern time, or just wherever you are at 12:30 it’s gonna be a big fucking mars up there?
Mars will no way be as big as the moon. Absolutely no way. At best it will be the second brightest thing in the night sky, have a vaguely reddish colour (hard to tell because it won’t appear as much more than a pin prick) and you’d only notice it if somebody pointed it out to you. Worth getting the binoculars out for though. M
Even at 34 Million miles it is still too far away (The moon is only a quarter of a million miles away). Mars has a diametr only twice that of the moon, so do the maths. Twice as wide, 140 times as far away.

trippy.
god damn i hate that bonzi buddy. my dad got him on his computer and it was funny for a moment, but i wanted to kill him shortly after.
i don’t see two moons, i’ve been had
i’d like a refund please
sorry duders and ettes. 'twis a hoax. an old hoax actually. Mars was very close in the summer of 2003, and it was sweet, but appearing nowhere near as large as the moon. i’m sure this deed was probably perpetuated by boil-plagued ruffians hell-bent on disappointing the fans of such things as Mars. and the moon.

I thought I heard about some skyward event happening soon. But it’s not a “new moon” - it’s a lunar eclipse! Gonna have to stay up late/get up early for this one (in the USA). For real (link):

Like the Star Gazer says, “Keep Looking Up.”
— The eclipse begins in @ 5 hours!!! —
