New Phish Release: 2/19-2/21, 1993 - Roxy Theatre

Nice to see an official release of 2/20/93 which may have one of the wackiest and coolest second sets I’ve ever heard. Plus it’d be nice to hear a recording of that show that doesn’t sound like it was recorded in someone’s bathtub. Good times!!

And maybe they’ll explain why they’re singing about a “sewer” during Tweezer. And I LOVE the segue from Glide to Mike’s where they’re still singing the ending to Glide as they start the Mike’s guitar. And the part with Trey telling Mike to “Sing your song” during the whole thing. They must have been on something GOOD that night.

Stevo

I am quite satisfied with the SBD that floats around for 02/20…

And the other two shows have very good audience recordings…

All that said, I will most definitely be buying these anyways.

I hear it is on the low side of $50.

From phish.net:

“The official site doesn’t have any thing listed yet, but other sites list the UPC as 825084987326 and the list price as $49.98. CD Universe is already taking pre-orders, for ($)39.98.”

I hope the new release is not more expensive on Dry Goods than it is at retail outlets - that happened with Walnut Creek. Not so fan-friendly to pay more directly from the source…

This is up on Dry Goods. Kinda fell by the wayside due to some “other” announcement…

Having already heard the madness of 2/20/93 set II, I’m ever so curious about the other two shows. Do you ever listen to the shows around a legendary show and wonder if, on the day before, they knew what was coming?? And during the show after it, are you up there playing thinking about how awesome last night’s show was??

Anyway, I’m a whore for a Stash/Manteca sandwich after listening to the bonus material that came with 10/31/98, so I look forward to hearing the 2/21/93 show.

I’ll tell you what’s music to my ears…

… ^ That ^

This is now officially up at Dry Goods, with some cool artwork.

Better pre-order quick* if you want the bonus disc, which is Atlanta, 3/28/92, “a remastered audience recording, as no soundboard recording exists.”

  • Dry Goods ran out of the “Left Nuts” CD during the Walnut Creek pre-order.

Ha! Phish is breaking Phish policy by selling an audience recording… Nice!

I wonder if the taper (unless it is Shapiro) is getting anything…

That is… sweet!

you are quite the artist, Neilio

Thanks.

It took me like three hours to finish the shading on the Peachtree Towers.

Anyone else doing the Pre-Order?

^ I’m doing a pre-order, probably from Barnes & Noble. Cheap + free shipping.

Just heard my first snippet from the new LP release (Roxy):

“David Bowie/Moby Dick” from 2/19.

On LivePhish.com, I should have mentioned.

Fuck editing, I’ll just add another post.

OK, nevermind, I am a towel. They are playing all of 2/19 today, 2/20 tomorrow and 2/21 on Thursday! Cool.

Damn, I have class a good portion of tomorrow and Thursday.

Got my shipping confirmation today…Woohoo!!!

This got leaked to what, but I’m not sure that I even want to get this release for free. I just have no great drive to listen to this again. Sorry???
