Apple stopped being cool 4 years ago.
So did AT&T, Sprint, and T-Mobile! Not to mention IBM, LG, Sony, Nextel and enemas… ![]()

Does anyone have the Iphone4?
I’d like to hear about all these problems people are reporting and if they are really that bad.
Consumer Reports is not recommending the iPhone4.
The Iphone4 is pretty effing awesome.
Mind you I didn’t have the 3GS, I jumped from the old 3.
But this thing is great.
No problem whatsoever,…I’ve even tried to do that death grip thing on purpose. Works fantastic.
Wait for it…
This is my first post on the ohkeepa using 4g.
They just hooked it up in L.A this week. Faster. Suckin down my battery fosho.
Verizon is doing the 4G thing too, is it ‘really’ that much faster than a top end 3G droid?
^Much faster. It’s more similar to DSL speeds than to 3g speeds. I was getting download speeds close to 10mb/second and upload speeds close to 1mb/second. For downloading larger files to your phone, watching streaming movies or using the phone to tether to a laptop, the new speeds are pretty useful. Otherwise, for just checking email, surfing the pa and reading news, it’s pretty unnecessary.
So, in a lot of ways it’s a gimmick, but it kinda depends on what you use your phone for. Regardless, they have to figure out how to make a phone that doesn’t lose battery by 3% every minute or two when 4g is flipped on. ![]()
^Good points. I recently got a free limited edition ‘white’ fascinate, I like it but man I might have to pony up for the 4G deal here this spring…
Dooj, let me in on some of you apps you like…
^Nice! Free Android rules. ![]()
I’m completely addicted to Google Maps, Google Voice and Yelp. Can’t live without any of those three.
Other than that, Chrome to Phone is pretty cool. Compass is nice. Astro File Explorer is handy. StreamFurious works good and can handle any m3u. Youtube remote is fun to play with. Google Goggles will impress your friends.
Got some of these already, so I will have to get a few new ones this week and try them out, thanks man!!!
SIRIUS/XM app + Howard Stern now on it = me listening on my phone = FECK YEAH
Love it!
I think I’m on the verge of a smartphone. I wanted to leave Verizon before I got a phone that required the data plan because I think they charge way too much and I’m sick of them. I thought my contract expired this spring but found out today it’s really August and I’m eligible for an upgrade next month which I need since phones can only be dropped so many times before they start having problems. I guess I’m stuck with Verizon for a little while longer.
I look forward to yet another thing that will mindlessly drain hours from my day. I hear about all these apps and I might as well be a time traveler from 1870. I am shocked by what can be done with these tiny little machines. Google Sky was the first one I was ever shown firsthand and it will probably be the first one I would get. Can’t get over how amazing that is and how perfectly it would suit my endless, but largely ignorant, sky watching.
Fred’s Soundboard is the greatest thing ever, Choooo!
