ORIGINAL BOARDWALK STYLE NOW AVAILABLE FOR PRE-ORDER
CD, DIGITAL & SPECIAL 180-GRAM VINYL EDITIONS AVAILABLE

Original Boardwalk Style, a live album from Trey Anastasio and the Undectet, will be released on June 10th on Trey’s own Rubber Jungle Records. Proceeds from the sale of the album will benefit the Seven Below Arts Initiative, established by Trey in 2006 to foster artistic development and support arts education in the state of Vermont.

The album was recorded at the House of Blues in Atlantic City, NJ on December 30th and 31st of 2006, coming at the end of the band’s holiday tour. The two shows marked the culmination of a long year of touring and growth as what began as a six-piece sextet in the beginning of the year had progressed into a full-force eleven member Undectet.

The raw energy of a well-oiled band at the top of its game permeated the set as the composer/vocalist/guitarist led The Undectet - comprised of Tony Hall (bass, vocals), Ray Paczkowski (keyboards), Jeff Sipe (drums), Christina Durfee (vocals, synthesizer), Jennifer Hartswick (vocals, trumpet), Peter Apfelbaum (saxophone, flute), Russell Remington (saxophone, flute), Jeff Cressman (trombone), Dave Grippo (saxophone) and Cyro Baptista (percussion) - through electrifying big band arrangements of his classic songs, replete with big horns and dazzling Brazilian percussive stylings.

Original Boardwalk Style features over 75 minutes of music, remixed from the multitrack masters by Trey and Ben Collette at Rubber Jungle Studios and mastered by Fred Kevorkian at Kevorkian Mastering. In addition to CD and digital download formats, the album will be available as a double-gatefold, audiophile grade 180-gram LP Vinyl pressing.

The album is now available for pre-order as CD and Vinyl Trey’s online store as well as digital audio downloads (in both MP3 and FLAC formats) at LivePhish.com. All pre-orders will automatically be entered to win a professionally printed photo - signed by Trey and esteemed photographer Jeff Kravitz - of the band on stage at the House of Blues. Color corrected by Jennifer Brown, it will be framed in barn board crafted by Lars Fisk, a creative contributor to The Barn’s Artist-in-Residence program. Ten runners-up will receive autographed copies of the vinyl.

I’m excited for this… especially with Apt Q258 on the drums! Now we need a tour, Trey.

Looks sweet!

these were pretty good shows from the parts I heard, but I have to say meh…

The only songs I’d really want to hear are Simple Twist Up Dave, Plasma, and Mr. Completely

Mud City makes me want to kill myself

::waits for someone to say "please, go ahead and do it::

sorry to be negative I just think this Trey band stuff with the material from Shine and Bar 17 has too many limitations for a Trey band…once you hear most of the songs once there’s really no need to hear them again. And Trey-led wankery jams can only go so far.

If this was a TAB release from 2002 or before I’d be more excited and might actually buy it.

Why don’t you go listen to Elton John ya double-postin’ bastid…

Has anyone else ever heard of Trey’s band being called “Unedectet” before??

I’ve never even heard that word before…I realize it means an 11-piece band, but the shows weren’t billed as that were they? I thought it was just “Trey Anastasio.”

I like mud city… great blues riff and it’s about coventry. the hell hole that it was.

Mud City’s not bad, Plasma’s great, First Tube, well, you know, Alive Again I love, and last but not least, Drifting. This is one of my favorite songs that Trey’s written in a long time. I fucking love it. It never ceases to put a huge smile on my face. I always think of the bubbles at the suprise Bonnaroo Superjam in '06. Gahhh I love it! This album sounds sweet. Grippo and Remington still ripping it up with Trey after all those years is fucking awesome. I’m excited to hear this. I also love Mr. Completely. That song was on the first live Phish show I ever had and actually progressed greatly as a musician and listener by jamming to it. Wonder what kind of music Trey’s been writing lately.

I’ve never heard that.

I’ve seen Trey solo in 2 separate years: 2001 and 2005.

In 2001, it was, I think, billed as “Trey Anastasio” and it was the octet. I used to have a green shirt I got at a show with a watermelon on front and the band (dressed as a mariachi band) on the back. Wonder where that went…

In 2005, I think all 3 shows I saw were billed as “70 Volt Parade.”

In any event, the 2001 show I saw was clearly superior to any of the best the three from 2005 had to offer.

This is great and all for charity, but why release this shit? Why not a new album?
This stuff has been released over and over.
Make with the new shizznit!

i was at the very first Trey show in 1999 at the Michigan Theater in Ann Arbor. it was fucking sweet. one full set of just Trey on acoustic guitar (and piano!) and then a set of extended, electrified grooving with Russ and Tony. i’d be way more interested if he’d officially release some of that material. for some reason i just love Trey in a power trio. 'specially Oysterhead.

i really think they should have included the swing version of Stash they played on the 30th…

i still look forward to hearing this

I want to be excited about this, but I just want new material. He must have written something new in the last couple years.

I think Trey will put something out soon that will blow us away… He’s a writing machine.

If its anything like Shine or Bar 17 I hope he doesn’t bother.

i was at the 31st show, and some of the jams were really good, i haven’t listened to it in over a year so i can’t remember which

i remember him announcing that they were going to make those show into a cd way back then, they took a picture of the band with all the crowd in teh background, and i tried to get on my tippy tippy toes as to be seen in the photo, prob the only thing i’d imagine that will be seen if anything is my yellow hat i had raised in the air as a “flag” type thing to find myself if and when this album ever did come out.

from the looks of the album art, it seems as tho that picture may not have been used.

either way i’ll def get this

I listened to Shine today at work.

I still enjoy it… first time I listened in a long while though.

^i actually threw that on the other day as well. for the first couple songs i was like, hey this ain’t too bad. but then i realized yeah it is. sorry trey.

You would.
