NFL 2010-11 Season

I went 2-2 in the opening week, looking to improve above .500

this week, give me:

Steelers
Packers
Patriots
Bears

Time to play the Packers in the playoffs for the 1st time since 1941 (Bears win at Wrigley Field)

But my Steelers had me SICK at halftime and then the Ravens just fell apart in the 2nd half!!!

Atlanta=Worst #1 seed EVER!!! :shh:

Great football weekend!!!

J-E-T-S JETS JETS JETS…Let’s go get a snack!!!

^I’m a believer.

Didn’t think they would beat Brady and company, but sometimes being wrong isn’t a bad thing. I think they have a real good shot the Superbowl. Would love to see them play the Bears.

So would I!

We all know how it turned out last time!

Well that “knowing how it turned our last time” theory just didn’t work for the Patriots fans, now did it?

proletariat, time to switch your avatar.

Epic NFC championship game this year.
Bears vs. Packers!

Doesn’t get better then that in terms of a rivalry game.

…and another day another AFC Championship game for the Steelers.

Sorry Jets,…but I think your run is done. Don’t think you can come into Pittsburgh and win 2 times in a year.
Troy Polamalu is back for this game. Heath Miller is back for this game.

Rex will be home playing with his wife’s feet for the Superbowl.

Yeah, they predicted the same fate for the Giants after each game in 2008 playoffs, and we all know, but choose not to remember, how that turned out.

I think any one of these teams could come out a winner.

Go BEARS though!

Goodnight sweet Prince…

Yeah, I’m seeing some of that too…they definitely have that 07-08 Giants feel too them. Came out strong…had a rough stretch in the middle, came together late…even had that super-close loss to the undefeated Pats…

Jets win was impressive…they rarely blitzed yet got pressure on Brady and smothered the receivers enough that Brady couldn’t throw even when he had time. I think that first pick really set the tone for the game…the Pats were driving like mad and that was a “The Russian is Cut” moment when everyone remembered that Brady is human. In the end, it shows, you HAVE to throw the ball deep at least a few times to keep a defense honest…the Pats did it maybe once or twice that I remember and the Jets were able to play close and smother all those crossing routes. Great game by them and the Sanchise was good for the 2nd half as well. That looong Pats drive that sucked up 8 minutes in the 4th quarter had an air of arrogance to it…like they went that slow because they KNEW they would score. Hey Belichick…the shotgun spread stuff ain’t working…ever since he started using it more they haven’t won a thing.

And how silly of me…I forgot to post my picks but I went 3-1…I had Bears, Packers and Steelers and blew it on the Pats. It’s funny…I was worried about picking the Packers since they seemed to be a team that EVERYONE was picking but didn’t notice that the Pats were the same way. In fact, both of these last two weeks, we’ve had two teams per week that everyone picks. Last week everyone had Ravens and Saints and one lost and the other had a blowout and the same with Packers/Pats this week.

For the Pack, I went with the Charlie Weis rule…if a coordinator is already about to leave or is interviewing while their team is still around, that’s a bad sign. Remember, the Steelers refused to allow coordinators to interview during their Super Bowl run with Roethlisberger…that’s the way to go. Mike Mularkey of the Falcons was interviewing with teams and sure enough, his offense stunk…though not as much as the D…not matter what that D-Line did, they couldn’t stop the Pack.

Not sure what to pick this week but I’m leaning towards the Pack…they’re hot lately. But I REALLY like how the Bears still kept in all the starters for that meaningless Week 17 game…the 07 Giants did the same thing and lost to the Pats and then beat them in the Super Bowl. Week 17 matters!

I’m picking with my heart this week because this is the game I want to see in the super bowl:

Steelers & Bears

I’ve been a Steelers fan since I was 7…

Became a supporter of the Bears when I moved to Chicago in 95’…

It would be a DREAM Super Bowl to have Steelers vs. Bears…But only if Steelers won it of course…

steelers vs. bears is my super bowl pick

Steelers v Packers and Steelers win the SB 28 to 10…

:unamused:

Ohh, and BTW, Coach Brad Childress has yet to be hired and people with no OC/Head coaching jobs prior are getting hired before him.

I’ll bet anyone $1,000,000,000.00 if Favre wanted to play again, there is a team or two out there who would want him, and he would get ‘hired’ before the genius HC 'Chilly" would!

Why, you ask? Coach Chilly is a bum… PERIOD.
