They are selling tickets on ebay and the cheapest seats (which are worse than mine) are selling for $900 a piece!!

My brother had a few pics of him with the Cup too. When Dallas won it in 1999, Darien Hatcher brought it with him to some local bar he owned that was a mile from our house. Him and buddy drove home and got a picture of them hoisting the thing. He saw it again in 2002 when a random Wings guy brought it to a bar in Mt Clemens. I never get any luck with this stuff…no Cup sitings for me.

No offense but us Detroit fans REALLY need to smell the roses here. We’ve been SO fortunate with our sports teams. I mean, the biggest drought I have had in my lifetime between Championships was seven years between the 90 Pistons and the 97 Wings. SEVEN YEARS. There are cities out there like Cleveland who haven’t won anything in any sport in 50 years. We’re so lucky with our teams here.

Do I dig at Cleveland a lot? I really don’t have that big a problem with them except that I hate how Mike Brown uses LeBron in his offense…and that’s only because I think LeBron could do so much more. Cleveland was just the team that came to mind when I was thinking of a city that hasn’t won in a while. I actually kind of like the Cleveland Browns…they’re like the Lions of the AFC so I feel some kinship.
See, I usually make digs at Chicago since I hate basically all of their sports teams (except maybe the White Sox since I love Ozzie Guillen).
On the Lions I actually think that they are a penance that we must pay for having the rest of our teams being so good. We get all this success with the Pistons and Wings but then we give the karma right back by having to suffer through the Lions. Looks like the Tigers are getting back to normal as well…
